Hiya,

Does anyone know of a decent charity or company for printer toner/cartridge recycling. Iv used actionaid in the past but, for some reason they dont want to pick mine up, rang them 4 times and had no driver turn up, Last time I used a company we purchase from but, as we havnt bought anything for god know how long, doesn't sit right getting them to collect toners for free.

just wondered if anyone had a contact they always use???

Thanks

We use Cartridge world for our empty toner cartridges. They provide us with a storage bin for empty toners, when it's full I give them a call an normally next day they come and empty it. Every month or so we get a cheque sent which goes back into the Print Consumables budget. Not huge amounts, but better than nothing as they say.

we use

Collect2Save

very easy - they supply collection boxes, I drop our account manager an email when it's full and they collect next day.. we can have a cheque or nominate a charity..

They also sell remanufactured carts - the quality is quite good..

We use Money to Schools, all we have to do is send in 25 or more at a time and we are paid per toner / cartridge we send in, works really well and we have had no problems.

I find ours aren't worth anything. Do these companies still take them?

Money to Schools just put them down on our statement as "Items with no value", then they just recycle them. We literally just send them anything we have and they are more than happy to accept.

most companies that sell toners originals or compatibles if u ask them will offer a free toner collection service

We use our local branch of cartridge world who we also get our toner and ink supplies from. If there's ever any problems or we need something really quickly, we can pop in in person to the branch and get it sorted right away.

Does Money To Schools take away remanufactured toners and inks?

In fact, do any of the aforementioned companies recycle remanufactured toners and inks?

They do take them yes, they just put them down as items with no value.
