Gatt Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 why is Nick Clegg bobbing up and down like one of those annoying Bobbing Head Dolls or whatever they're called....
creese Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 why is Nick Clegg bobbing up and down like one of those annoying Bobbing Head Dolls or whatever they're called.... It's really bizzare, someone should have a word. I feel seasick.
mattx Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 VAT Up - but freeze child benifit and pay freezes - It's the same old Tories !!!
LosOjos Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 why is Nick Clegg bobbing up and down like one of those annoying Bobbing Head Dolls or whatever they're called.... Because he desperatley wants to be a part of the governement, but he's not. 1
localzuk Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Seems to be almost a 'give with one hand, take with an army of other hands' budget. To be expected really.
36Degrees Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Ouch, VAT 20% from 4th Jan The only surprise there is that it has been deferred to 2011. We now also know that there will be a million "avoid the VAT increase" sales over Christmas and New Year!!
Popular Post Gatt Posted June 22, 2010 Popular Post Posted June 22, 2010 Those going "same old tory's" - if it weren't for Labour's Spend Spend Spend, Borrow Borrow Borrow policies - we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now! I was expecting all this -and I think it is right Ok things will cost a bit more, but its better than us going bump (Greece, Zimbabwe anyone?) 5
CHR1S Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 No tax increase on the essentials, beer, fags and petrol lol!
Sarconia Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 VAT confirmed at 20% As I just said out loud at work "that totally sucks"... It seems to me like they're putting the cost of a lot of items up (yes, a few items are VAT free) but making cuts at every possible point. Only thing I like so far is the levy on banks...
Gatt Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 No tax increase on the essentials, beer, fags and petrol lol! This I do disagree with Fags should be raised substansivlely and petrol reduced signifcantly, as without fuel, we cannot do a damn thing....
sidewinder Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 No tax increase on the essentials, beer, fags and petrol lol! Thats a surprise to be honest. Perhaps not on petrol (since people are incensed about it already) but alcohol and tobacco I thought were a sure thing. Yay, wont cost any more to kill ourselves!

VAT up, public sector wages over £21k frozen, child tax benefits frozen, but corporate tax down? Same old tories...
mattx Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) What an idiot - he goes on about fighting child poverty but then freezes child allowance and puts up VAT !!- what a pratt. A progressive alliance ? Who is trying to kid ? Edited June 22, 2010 by mattx

Guest Guest Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 I wish that silly bitch would stfu, typical labour bull.
sparkeh Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Anyone else think George Osborne looks like a kid on work experience who took a wrong turn and ended up presenting the budget? 1

aerospacemango Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Well, a budget to make the Tories amongst you happy! The rich will, indeed, get richer, whilst the poor....well, in a Tory world, you can F*** the poor. It feels like 1979 all over again, and for those of you that aren't old enough to remember, we have some vey, very harsh years ahead. Mind you, we can probably all have a pie and a pint in the pub on signing-on day. Now, where are those other nationalised industries? Oh, we won't have any as the Tories are selling the last of them off. Hmmmmmmm.....Someone once said "You get the government you deserve"..... I don't think we deserve this shambles! 4
CHR1S Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 *Naive hat on* So, to me that isnt that bad, would someone explain why everyone is so annoyed by it? Maybe Aerospacemango as you seem to be quite riled up by it lol!
Guest Guest Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) lmao at her now; attack anyone and everyone. Shes an absolute joke (pretty suited to her party). Im laughing my socks off but its actually quite scary that she is someone who has a say in the running of our country Edited June 22, 2010 by john just keep the language chilled please :)

Maybe Aerospacemango as you seem to be quite riled up by it lol! IME most people of that opinion are still blinkered by Maggie. Even living where i live im yet to meet anyone who can express a reasonable arguement against the tories, only falling back on the same worn out record of "the miners and the railways." Boohoo, im living in the 21st century, i couldnt care less what happened in the past. Plus everyone seemed to do ok back then, house prices certainly wernt at 10x the average wage, and national debt wasnt at the rediculas level it is now... Edited June 22, 2010 by Guest
mattx Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Lib Dems should be ashamed of themselves..... http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/6164/1fullsize.png But we will do anything to get a top job...... Quite disgusting.
