After a loooooong half term, I thought that it was time to have at least one weekend off.... which was seriously enjoyable but as most of our weekends go, we have a pleasant debate about something even if it's about traffic cones?

So I'm bringing it here:

Which order should you drink alcoholic drinks?

Start with cider, move onto more cider, in vast amounts. Then comes the club, with WKD type things, and then shots! followed by curling up somewhere comfy. And a wetherspoons full english breakfast in the morning!

I dont like WKDs myself. They taste is horrible and this might be me put i can feel the sugar on my teeth.

Myself i like to have a few bottles of beer. Maybe move on to some neat vodka, whiskey, shots of sambuca.

Easy - you take the top off the bottle of Jack Daniels and don't stop until it has all gone.
But what if you need to brush your teeth? all the jack will be gone....

Too many wasted weekends, especially at beer festivals, suggests that starting easy and working up to more alcoholic drinks gives a better evening though a worse following morning. Starting on the hard stuff first gives a shorter evening, but the hangover isn't as bad - as generally you pass out before you consume as much.

LOL @ WKD. Those who drink that need to take a long hard look at themselves :)

Pints (decent foreign lager or preferably english ale), then dark rum/JD & coke. And a Jagerbomb or 2

Hmmmm, a few bottles of Bud whilst cooking dinner, a bottle of wine with dinner, then off down the pub for more lager, followed maybe by vodka or scotch. Wake up next morning feeling like death warmed up and head for something greasy and fried.

Pretty much bang on (except for the english ale part)

Anything that has alcohol in it. although young i can now not handle shots of vodka/sambuca becuase as soon as it hits the back of my neck it makes me gag!! i think i may have over endulged at an early age!

normally now just lager/wine occasionally cocktails but depends who im out with!!

JD & coke

I can't believe you'd ruin good whisky by adding coke to it!

Generally start with bitter or ale, then move onto grouse later on in the night.

A what point did bourbon become good whiskey? ;) A proper scotch single malt preferably is good whiskey although I've only ever ventured as far as £100 a bottle stuff the Talisker can be as much as £800 not sure I'd buy that although my Dads birthday is coming up and it would shock him to be drinking £50 worth of scotch in a small glass lol

To be fair I do prefer it on its own, but it doesnt look great drinking it like that in the pub! At home, always straight, rum and whiskey

had to ditch the Jack a few years ago (after jumping through a neighbours fence after mistakenly hearing a party next door) ...try to stay sensible on the Winnie Mandela's these days...with a cheeky jamiesons to put the final nail in the coffin

I'm never, ever drinking again after last night/this morning.

I still feel "tipsy" now!

This was why I was on the apple juice... Didn't fancy a day of hangover during train travel and meeting up with friends!

Now that must have livened their party up...

I can imagine it now - some people having a good time with a few drinks, there is a brief lull in the conversation then. "RAAAA! Neighbor SMASH!" :p

JD & Coke, no ice, tall glass. Followed by JD & Coke, no ice, tall glass... is generally my plan for an evening when I'm out. Depending on the location this gets mixed with shots of tequila.

Proper nights out in big cities (Liverpool especially) and it also involves cocktails, and shots of various items.

BBQ's (like tonight) and it's Corona.

Best way to avoid hangover is to have to stand outside in the rain for a bit over two hours sobering up while listening to heartbroken friends talk through their problems...

4 pints of Carling, then move onto dbl vodka and coke or JD and Coke, about 5 of these and you start on the Black aftershock 3-4 of these and your set for the club, here in newcastle, 3 pound for treble vodkas, 2-3 of these and its time to call it a night :)
