erm is this a gender issue? Is the fact that I don't have facial hair why people don't take me for a "real" geek? Is that a good or bad thing?

But then I'm forgetting that females can't possibly be geeks can they?

Depends when it is - however I always shave the night before work so that I don't have to get up earlier than normal to get to work.

During the holidays I tend to let it grow for a while so that my skin has time to repair itself.

Here's one for the men - how many of you moisturise or use after shave balm? I'll admit to using Loreal for Men morning and evening. :-)

I use:

Buy Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour All Over Skin Protectant Cream, 50ml online at JohnLewis.com

It's brilliant stuff, if anyone suffers from spots put some of this on and they'll be gone by the morning!

Had a shave this morning and need to again now if I wanted to be non stubbly. Generally I let it grow until it itches so much I have to shave. I don't really like shaving. I've had to wet shave since was 14, before that it was a year of electric shaving (I hate them) the tash. If it doesn't itch me to hell the only other reason I have for shaving is the GF. Otherwise I'll let it grow (like my hair hair) 8" long now - I actually have to brush it daily.

I voted 'Beard' although strictly it should be 'Beard and Moustache' [same as far as this poll goes I guess?]

So it is beard and quite hairy until the wife feels like she wants another go with the clippers then there is hardly anything left and it starts all over again.

Depends on the time of year, what's happening next week and what I'm told!

I spent all of last summer growing a beard (5 weeks), but it seems that I can no longer do it...this was my attempt...

I would grow a beard, except it comes out ginger, bright ginger at that. Not that there's anything wrong with it really, just stands out a little too much.

It does get a bit long in the holidays mind when I really can't be bothered to shave in the mornings.

clean shaven but often designer stubble by end of the day.

As previous post I get told by both other half and 3 year old says "go have a shave" including pointing with hand to make well the point..

I've had my beard longer than many of the other members here have been alive, this summer it will be 28 years old.

:hippie:

Wow... it's almost as old as me. I'm seriously impressed! Do you trim it? I wish my wife would tolerate no trimming, but she doesn't like it, otherwise I'd give the gandalf style beard a shot, you know?

Incidentally, the bearded lady comment reminded me of a wonderful scene from blackadder...

"I've heard of the Bearded Lady, but the All Over Body Hair Lady simply just isn't on."

hehehe....

Never did like Black Adder - must be a man thing

Great shows :D Even was a fan of the first series which most people don't. Very Peter Cook :)

And just to show that Blackadder as a TV series was happy with either genders, Nursery's first name was Bernard :D She probably had to shave.
