I once spent a weekend spraying a dozen computer cases a rather lurid shade of green for a business promotion. It took four coats a machine to get the desired effect but it looked pretty special afterwards. All we used was the metallic paint you buy from Halfords to spray your car. The hardest part was stripping the cases down to be sprayed.

 

There's some excellent websites that show you how to get a really professional finish. Never done a laptop though - I think the paint might eat the plastic most are made of?!

Of course they don't. So if you boiled, say, a kilo of jam in your microwave for half an hour you'd then be happy to put your pet snowman in the oven straight afterwards because, in your opinion, it will always be stone cold inside.
