meastaugh1 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Hello! Has anyone tried out the November release yet? :?
Simcfc73 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I updated last night from home (sent a email at 9pm just to tell everyone how hard I am working). Can't see much changed except the pre admissions and a few tweaks here and there, although I don't use it that much. Seems a slow update though with all those stupid skipped files it seems to go though.
paul Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 @Geoff, Its the October release you can't roll out (capita have withdrawn its rollout) Think Westfield will be issuing there usual crap to you on the 15th of this month.

Do you know if the bug where marksheets only save the first mark, is resolved? The release note makes no mention, CES claim it is fixed. thanks
Jake Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 @Geoff, Its the October release you can't roll out (capita have withdrawn its rollout) . Did they?? Bloody gits, and after all the fart arsing I did to get october to work too

October release broke our data. It's with Capita in Bedford now having been escalated to the development team!!! A week on and still no further to solving!! 8O
meastaugh1 Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 It seems to have gone well for a change, but will have to wait until next week to find any new bugs. The automated database upgrade failed (again) and naturally CES insist it must be our ISP, proxy server or AV at fault.
PhilNeal Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Just for information there have been over 700 successful upgrades since release.
GrumbleDook Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 How any unsucessful upgrades? Just so we can see a comparison .... We do ours on Tuesday and we are eager to get to grips with Course Manager (ok ... I am eager to get to grips with it as it will save me a shed load of work in AM7)
PhilNeal Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 The upgrade notifies our server so far there have been 45 signature failures that is usually bandwidth. 14 cases of the database failing to upgrade have been reported.
beeswax Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 had an email notification from our NM that our update failed on Friday afternoon/evening. he didn't give much detail though.
MattGibson Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Does anyone have the notes that tells you what this update fixes or improves? Cant find any ?
localzuk Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) November Upgrade Release Notes http://www.capitasolus.co.uk/ReleaseNotes/platforms/Nov08MainRNa.pdf FMS 6.112 Upgrade Release Notes http://www.capitasolus.co.uk/releasenotes/fms/fmsfds6112Ra.pdf It gets released to us on Friday, so it'll be updating itself on that night. Then the FMS update will be manually done on Monday. Edited November 26, 2008 by localzuk
