Thanks for deleting...

I am glad to see the community helping again.. we are a school offering incredibly cheap hosting or any ict support and a link to a testing control panel specially when below are links to giant hosting companies is going to harm..

How many sites? there are companies that will host 8 or more for £10 per month. Better off buying a developers account and then selling the hosting cost on at a profit.

Tsohost have been mentioned recently... their prices are good, speed is good, service is good. I'm quite impressed with them, as is my colleague who moved his site over to them.

+1 for Tsohost. Currently using them for a couple of personal sites and they've been very very helpful. Getting a question answered in 5 minutes at 3am is great service :D

Currently looking at moving the school site to them (when we eventually get around to redesigning it!)

I use CSNM, and can't fault it by far the best customer service...

Yeah for Paid Solutions i recommend the only two companys that have always made me smile whom are CSNM and VeloxServ both really nice chaps!

If your looking for FREE Hosting, Then i am more than willing to set you up an account on the servers i hosted. Only for Schools, Charities and Non-Profit Organisations though.

Does anyone recommend 123-reg? I'm a private customer of theirs, but I don't do much with my website.

They offer one-click installation of Joomla. Has anyone tried it?

The one click installation software is probably similar to those offered by many companys using Installaton and the like, I have used it in the past and it does work quite well to be honest.

I use 123 Reg to look after the domain side of things as it's just what i've used from day one and it's always worked.

It's a very old version (1.5.3) so you are still going to need to update it manually, so it would be easier to just do a new install the manual way or go with a provider that provides single click installation of the very latest version of Joomla.

I started hosting on ETGlobalSolution which vanished off the face of the earth after a power outage. Tried GoDaddy and they weren't bad but a little difficult to use their control panel. Then I moved to Memset who I unfortunately experienced some major customer service issues with after years of good service (fallout is on here somewhere, lol!). Currently with CS New Media and they have been pretty good so far.
