BrianG Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Without doubt the best time in a school day. No kids and no staff.. yet. Just myself and a couple of cleaners.. bliss !!!
tom_newton Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 You're not wrong. Only one other member of staff in here right now... generally quite peaceful and I can get some work knocked off.
button_ripple Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Without doubt the best time in a school day. No kids and no staff.. yet. Just myself and a couple of cleaners.. bliss !!! I have just cut my hours, so won't be doing early mornings for a while I know what you mean though!!
rh91uk Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Best time to get in. i'm an early riser, so I take advantage of that and get into work to do some work early before everyone gets in!
BrianG Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 It's brilliant. I only live a few miles away from most of my schools but it normally takes me a good half an hour to get in, because of traffic. It's taken me 8 minutes this morning.. I know.. I timed it.. it's bad It's amazing how much you get done when there is no one to popping their head around the door every 2 seconds asking " have you got ?" " Do you know?" "Wil you do?" I've got stuff done this morning that I've been meaning to do for a week now 1

andy_nic Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Early mornings are great, I get most my work done for the day, done in this time. Because you don't get bothered by people and can just get on.
BrianG Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 noo.. .people are starting to come in now.. peace and quiet gone for another day
localzuk Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 What's this 'early morning' lark?? Time doesn't exist before half 7! 1
copson90 Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 I do enjoy the early morning with it being quiet......but i cant do the getting out of bed part!
SYNACK Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Doesn't A.M. stand for Aint Moving? I'm not really an early morning person but I know what you mean about it being better when the schools are empty. Productivity always plumits as soon as too many other people appear.

nicholab Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 This site only open at 6.00am and there are some teachers queuing by then!! So you can't get a way from them.
Psymon Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 This site only open at 6.00am and there are some teachers queuing by then!! So you can't get a way from them. There is only 1 hour that starts with 6 in my day.
BrianG Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 This site only open at 6.00am and there are some teachers queuing by then!! So you can't get a way from them. Teachers were queuing at 6am? you never see a teacher, in my schools, come in before 7:45
SteveB_NI Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Its a pain here... I'm meant to start work at 8.30am, but pupils and teachers are often here from 7.45am.. no point really coming in early though as the master key is held in the filing cabinet of someone who doesn't come in till 8.30! Home time is 4.15, although a lot of the staff / pupils are still here gone 6pm, which is annoying again for peace and quiet!
Tyiell Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 What's 7 ???? I saw 7 once. It comes near the end of an all-nighter at uni...
