PEO Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 hells bells, I have busted my backside to figure out what to get me fiancee for christmas! she keeps hinting she would like a dog, I feel this is wrong considering a dog is not for christmas!!!! as much as we both want one I am not prepared or happy to give her a pet for a christmas present. I have though done a lot of reserch for the ideal dog I was looking at getting one in the new year. that aside... I am totally strugling to come up with ideas.... its sad really but she has everything she could possibly need imo... any ideas?? I like creative ideas cheers
PEO Posted December 21, 2009 Author Posted December 21, 2009 I know hehe I had the familly and close friends presents done yonks ago... but eek I am strugling! thanks Zak
mb2k01 Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 I was struggling too - so I did the completely unromantic thing of asking her to write me an imaginery kid-style list! At least now we both know she'll get things she wants/needs! I'll probably get the odd token thing if anything catches my eye between now and thursday but at least the pressure is off!
featured_spectre Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 a nodding dog? seeing as she didnt give you a specific, its win win 1
PEO Posted December 21, 2009 Author Posted December 21, 2009 hahaha nice that could be her main present
mossj Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 I got my gf Bon-Jovi tickets for their opening night. Maybe you could get her something you can do together?
chinesewhispers Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 How about a spa treatment day, can be linked to an evening meal and or overnight stay depending on budget. How long have you been together, living together? Where in the country are you?
kmount Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Last year we bought a massive TV+sound system for the living room, this year she wants a new cd player for her car and I'll enjoy her being the duty driver over Christmas (she's working anyway!). It's tricky after so many years knowing what to get.
mac_shinobi Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Get her a Lab or golden retriever for the new year - not a Christmas pressie then That or a teddy one like below http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00471/SNN1833B_471637a.jpg
teejay Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Get her a nice book of different dog breeds to choose from so she can pick which one she wants with a promise to buy it in the new year.

rad Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Has she ever been to Disney Land, Paris? I took GF there. A weekend away somewhere, spa experience or if she is up to it a thrill experience! Is she into any crafts, like card making etc?
laserblazer Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Get her a kennel. At least you'll have somewhere to sleep if she gets the hump 1

Edu-IT Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Buy her a rabbit instead.... A Duracell bunny? http://www.trimediauk.com/content/Blog%20pics/duracell%20bunny.gif

john Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Ironing Board? Kitchen Sink? New Cooker? I'm hopless at shopping for women, my sisters got clothes vouchers (She's a uni student so I'm sure they will be very much appreciated) and my mums got a cook book and, if it arrives from Germany in time, some Swarovski Crystal as she collects it.

And in return, you'll get a nice slap. We all know what women truly want is a washing machine, not an ironing board, sink or cooker.

I once got my mum some fairy liquid for mothers day.... didn't go down too well, my dad made me wash up for a month... I should have got the cheap stuff, then it would not have lasted as long I like my face so I shall pass cheers 1
