it should have l4d style server thing, where it picks a good dedicated server for a group of people, then people can choose a good server if they want to or let the game pick one for them

LMAO at this quote in a forum:

I can see them spinning it now......

Q. will MW3 have crouching?

A. MW3 is not balanced for crouching

Q I heard that bullets are DLC, what if my credit card is declined in a fight? Will I have to use my knife?

A. yes

Q. what is this duoplayer mode I heard about?

A. Duoplayer mode is a really exciting mode that lets you play with another person on the internet, we think you guys will be really excited to only have to connect with one other person thereby streamlining the MW3 experience

A Did we mention how cool duoplayer is?

Q. Is it true that IW has removed keyboard support? do I have to use a console controller?

A. yes, we felt that because so many people who can't read play games, that we would simplify the control scheme to exclude any complicated characters besides Y B A and X, or X, square, triangle and circle in the case of the PS3.

Q. Can I at least configure my game controller on the PC?

A. Not at this time, were are to busy getting this incredibly deep, rich and exciting game out to you!

I gave up on postal pre orders as I usually ended up getting the game about a week after everyone else.

ive only had 1 problem with it in the past, game sent me the xb360 version instead of the PC version, and even then i had my PC copy the next day. Amazon are usually pretty good at getting stuff to you on the release day

From newsarse.com :

The highly anticipated release of console game ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2′ has met with criticism from Army officials for its unrealistic portrayal of life as a poorly-equipped British soldier.

The game, released today by Activision, depicts armed forces that are both well-trained and sufficiently well-equipped for the challenges they face.

“It’s pure fantasy. The soldiers in this game are so well equipped it’s almost laughable,” said an MOD spokesperson.

“In my twenty years service I’ve never been involved in a mission like those in this game, in which every soldier is so well trained - and with each soldier given every conceivable piece equipment needed to not only complete their mission, but survive an enemy onslaught.”

“Where are the poorly-prepared territorial troops? Where is the scribbled crayon letter from the Prime Minister when you lose a life?”

“Where is the level where they go to Afghanistan for six months because the Prime Minister agreed to give Al Qaeda some more target practise?”

Constructive criticism

Former soldiers have said they would willingly assist in future developments to ensure the next game more closely mirrors life in the British Armed Forces.

“It’s pretty easy really,” said one retired officer.

“Each mission should begin with an officer rifling through reams of red tape to try and requisition enough safety equipment to keep his men alive during the operation.”

“Then at least one vehicle should break down, and the soldiers should then have to walk for hours upon hours because there aren’t enough helicopters to get them from A to B.”

“It might not make great game play, but at least it’d be realistic.”

Despite the UK criticism, the game has received more favourable reviews in other countries, with the French release claiming plaudits for the graphical quality of the white flag raised at the start of each level.

Steam are doing it for £34.... Which for once isn't a ripoff!

Thanks. But it is considering you don't get anything physical like you do with the others! :p :troll: :D

Morrisons are also doing it for £26, and amazon is £32 for xbox 360.

At the risk of insulting every gamer out there (I'm not a gamer) - but what is all the fuss about this game?

I have kids in school today going on about it.

Is it something I need to get into? I have a PS3 and some games but only because it was the same price as a bluray player and could be updated :-)

Ohh I'm so naive...
