Soulfish Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Thanks for this - looking forward to using this to migrate all our files to our new SAN!
SYNACK Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Good to hear that it is going to be released. Does this mean that any of the other 'comming soon' links are soon to be backed up with content or shoud these be edited to 'not avalible'?
leco Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Shame, I've just finished doing this on my system Will still give it a look thou Mike. Me too - however, if I'd known I would still not have been able to wait for it to be released. I'll be interested to see it though since I may be doing another move at some point.

Just getting everything ready here for the move - starting by tidying the office! Looking forward to being able to use Edumove to save the hassle of moving all those files!

EduTech Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 Yes, I have just spoken to shaun, he is just creating the Projects page and is awaiting the installers but said it will be on over the weekend. he is pretty busy at the moment with work but said he will find some time over the weekend James.
EduTech Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 Hi, Yeah sorry for the delay in getting this out, few things that need to be cleared up before it goes live. Awaiting peices of the licensing doc etc so shouldn't be too long. Again sorry for the dealy James.
cookie_monster Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Did I read that Edumove could also create users? Any news on it's arrival yet? Cheers.

tazz Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Hi Guys, do you think Edumove will be available before the kids get back?
Soulfish Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Any news on the release date for Edumove? Think I'm going to have to resort to robocopy/scripting the move
EduTech Posted August 28, 2009 Author Posted August 28, 2009 Its all a pretty mad rush at the moment as i am sure you can understand. I will be receiving the Code tomorrow if your planning on doing this before the kids come back and want it i will send you it directly... Just need to finish of a few things with the Projects page and then it will appear on their. If you do need it, PM/Email me and i'll get it accross to you. James.
ranj Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 In the meantime until this is out use richcopy, I have had some good success with this. Works really well if you have a 64bit machine. Really makes use of threading and the extras of a 64 bit processor.
cookie_monster Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Or you could just use windows backup on either XP or Server 2003 it preserves permissions, logs what it does, copes with long folder and file paths and it's pretty damn fast. You also get the added bonus of an upto the minute backup just before you restore it all again
sfoord Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Any update when EduMove with be released? I'm upgrading a windows 2003 server this Oct halfterm and this looks like it could be useful:)
pnlrogue1 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Hey guys. Been quiet on here for some time - have we had any new on it yet?
kmount Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Looks like it's coming out for BETT in January.
