Wireless Router with 3 Pcs. two laptops and an archos tablet.

Been thinking of building me a watercooled pc (as some of you know) and turning my PC into a File Server.

The router is thrown out the window on a regular basis, due to it being a D-Link and rather useless.

At the last count, something like 9 PCs running OS's like Ubuntu, RedHat, Widows Whatever, with a Win2k3 server. Four Windows XP/ Vista laptops. An iMac. A macbook. 2 wireless networks (one internet facing, one closed). A mess of cat5e. And a whingeing wife who wonders why the electricity bill is so high ;)

At the moment, none.

Coming to an arrangement with a small business though where they'll pay my internet connection costs, and for a decent pipe, and in return I'll host and support a couple of low-profile servers for them.

Don't know whether its going to go through yet or not, but here's hoping.

1 x epson inkjet printer - wireless

1 x HP laserjet printer - wired

1 x 1TB network storage drive - wired

1 x internet radio - wireless

2 x 8 port switches

And then over the VPN connection to another family members house...

1 x cable modem

1 x smoothwall express box - wired

1 x linksys wireless N router (used as access point and switch)

1 x laptop running XP home - wired

1 x ubuntu box for TV streaming - wireless

1 x epson inkjet printer - wireless DLink print server

Had to make use of ethernet splitters in the first house as the modem is downstairs, the smoothwall box is upstairs and I need to have a switch downstairs, with only one ethernet cable linking upstairs and downstairs. Haven't mentioned specs because it's impossible to remember them all and they are constantly changing. There is a load of road warrior connections to the VPN as well but I doubt they count.
