Dos_Box Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) Here are this years banners. They look the business Edited August 26, 2015 by SYSMAN_MK 1
tom_newton Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Should read: "Over 10,000 member's worldwide", surely?
plexer Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Why? surely members is the plural or member? Ben
srochford Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Could be a mickey take of the fact that many people here don't bother with punctuation in any meaningful way :-)
GrumbleDook Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 And the fact that no matter what we do with regards to banners, mugs, graphics ... we always seem to have a roaming apostrophe somewhere. You'll all have to wait and see where it appears this year!
OutToLunch Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Not sure who quoted it here, but I do love the explanation "An apostrophe does not mean 'LOOK OUT HERE COMES AN S!'"
Dos_Box Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 I don't think our font has an apostrophe!
tom_newton Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) It was a p*** take of last year's (the year before maybe?) banner which had "The Education IT Professional's Lifeline" (was that the error?) blimey my memory si dead. Edited March 20, 2010 by witch
plexer Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Ah ok sorry Tom I didn't realise. Well it will definately be good to put faces to names this year as I haven't been for a couple of years now. Ben

Edu-IT Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 It looks very sexy. Words I use often, but not to describe signs.
john Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 It looks very sexy. Words I use often, but not to describe signs. I don't know I'm sure a friend of mine may describe them that way, then again it is his business as a Sign Manufacture.
Quackers Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Words I use often, but not to describe signs. But i'm Quackers
GrumbleDook Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 A huge improvement on the first years effort when I was helping on the stand. What was it Tony? Run round and see what you can blag from Epson? The first year was run with no idea about what we had to offer or what people wanted for advice. The stand operated via word of mouth and we begged / borrowed / acquired what we could. Heck, part of the stand was off-cuts of carpet dragged from the bins next to other stands that Ric and I found. Then again, we also spent all day Monday in the freezing cold and nearly jacked it all in on the Tuesday afternoon when we were building the server (workstation borrowed from Stone computers) and some daft sparky decided to power down our stand to deal with a problem to the one next door. Twice! We also acquired some furniture and chairs ... Last year we were a bit more prepared and this year we would have been even more prepared if it wasn't for the day jobs. A full list of thanks will go up during the week. Epson were very nice to us printing stuff off and I since we have some fantastic art work courtesy of Sysman_MK I think we should be able to get a few more things printed off ... if there is room of course. With the digital displays and banners we might actually have a full stand this time.
