Hightower Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Anyone going out tonight? I'm going to a local party dressed as a ghoulish nun, with friends going as a dead doctor, morticia, a ghoulish victorian and a couple of fairys (?!?!).
witch Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Going out as a zombie (yes, I know, no change there then)
dezt Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 i'm off out, not got any idea if i'm dressing up or not yet, but a mate of mine runs an online goth clothing store, so i'm sure i can get something from him if need be to look freaky
SteveB_NI Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I'm finishing here around 4pm - heading home, getting dinner then heading to bed for the evening (firework noise permitting of course!) Start work (petrol station) at 11pm tonight & work till 7am. By myself as always. Thats my hallowe'en night for you!
maniac Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I will be out and about tonight in the Canterbury area dressed as a Zombie (How origenal!) it was the only costume I liked thou! http://www.curiousplaces.co.uk/images/ForumPhotos/costumes/zombie.jpg and my friend will be dressed as the 'Twisted Jester' Probably along with half the town, as these are by far the best two costumes that our local matalan had on the shelves. lol http://www.curiousplaces.co.uk/images/ForumPhotos/costumes/twisted.jpg Mike
Sylv3r Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 http://www.curiousplaces.co.uk/images/ForumPhotos/costumes/twisted.jpg Now, thats a good costume.
maniac Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Yeah, I wish I'd brought that one myself now! My friend was origenally the Zombie, but I couldn't find another costume I liked as I wasn't keen on the twisted jester outfit, but my friend was so I brought it and we swapped. Then we tried them on, and I wish I'd kept the jester outfit now, it's a much better costume, but there we go! Mike.
wizzard Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Going out as a zombie (yes, I know, no change there then) Is it a banning offence to agree?
tech_guy Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I've just finished wiring my doorbell up to the mains so I'm all set.
wizzard Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I've just finished wiring my doorbell up to the mains so I'm all set. Can imagine tomorrow morning's headlines
laserblazer Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Just got rid of a house full of my grandkids' friends after a halloween party. I can't bring myself to assess the damage!
Andrew_C Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 (edited) Is it a banning offence to agree? May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the armpits of the ####### that imported this particular "festival" from America. Oh, and if it really floats your boat, FFS make your own costume. Stop lining the pockets of those exploiting kids in the third world making the things for less than peanuts. Not aimed at anyone in particular, but EVERYONE who buys a "cheap" costume. witch Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Is it a banning offence to agree? Wizzard - you traitor!!
yabbadabba Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Bear traps have been set in the front garden. Dogs have not been fed for 2 days and are now chained just before the front door. Mousetrap on the letterbox and doorbell just in case any one makes it that far.
elsiegee40 Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Banned my teenage son from going out... nothing to do with me being over-protective of him - I just think that it's intimidating if teenage boys turn up unannounced on stranger's doorsteps. I'm anti this American festival only because it gets abused. I don't have a problem with superbvised little ones having some fun.

Totally agree with you - my wife was saying the exact same thing last night!

I guess your teen is fairly young? My teens wouldn't dream of going out trick or treating at 16 and 18 (and I am sure that the 20 year old wouldn't either) so it won't be an issue for long. Mind you, I am now unable to 'ban' the 18 year old anyway!!

Yes, he's a young teen, and a tall one, and there isn't a nasty bone in his body (which is lucky for his big sister)... a gentle giant... but those who don't know him, don't know that. You're right witch - at the moment, I can still pull rank. Not for much longer, though, I think!
wizzard Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Me and my girlfriend Friday night.... You should have gone into work looking like that, scare everyone
