Little-Miss Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I need to check it for myself, but a woman i work with reckons she had an email from them a couple of weeks ago....still havent seen anything though.. will take a look myself tomorrow...
Zoom7000 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 So anyone know what happened to these? I walked past a memory stick dressed person at BETT who had no idea about a delay and told me they already had begun sending them out but still wanted me to sign up anyway! Perhaps it's time to send an email out to Andrew Castle @ [email protected] 2) The demand from teachers has been truly overwhelming. Due to the huge demand we have had to rework production and distribution of the sticks will commence at the beginning of 2009. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to me the beginning of 2009 is January/February, March is pushing it, but we're nearly at April!
Abfab Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I signed up for this a while back. Nothing has materialised yet. Quite alot of us did this at our school. No one to my knowledge has received anything.
JJonas Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Had this email on 21st May Dear Teacher, You may remember that you recently registered for a Free Memory Stick at the BETT Show 2009. We will shortly be sending your memory device to the address you used to register at the Show. The 4GB Memory Sticks feature a variety of software applications and also include lots of Free Educational Resources that cover all of the National Curriculum subject areas. We are sure you will find the memory sticks extremely useful
tech_guy Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 A load of us here signed up for these ages ago and we aint had nothing. Not a dicky bird out of them. Has anyone received any yet?
Admiral208 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 a lot of people here signed up but nothing received yet!!!
JJonas Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I am expecting the first sightings of flying bacon on the day these memory sticks arrive.
ButterflyMoon Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 This is weird this topic has come up as I emailed them earlier this week asking where my stick was. I initially registered with them in January I think it was. Here is the reply I got from them Hi Thanks for your email. Please accept my apologies for the delay in replying. I have asked for you to be prioritised on the next run which should be in 3-4 weeks. Please accept our apologies for the delay. thanks again Andrew Castle Memory 4 Teachers we will see!!
DAckroyd Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I had a look at this yesterday as I'd had an email come though and it just looked like a phishing site and it's not like these stick cost much to start with (4GB = £4ish)

DAckroyd Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 why could they not just send these to all schools without people having to fill out this form?
powdarrmonkey Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 why could they not just send these to all schools without people having to fill out this form? Because having some names as a marketing hook is much more valuable.
powdarrmonkey Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Well, still no memory stick for me, though I have just had some unrelated spam from them, which Andrew Castle categorically promised not to do
kevbaz Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Never recived mine either and that was a couple of months back...
Heebeejeebee Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Nor me - but I don't know what I'd do with it even if it did ever turn up. 1GB - pah! I carry around a 64GB, and two 32GB drives around at all times. HBJB
powdarrmonkey Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Right, I'm dragging this thread up again to complain about more spam, about Morrison's gardening equipment this time. Has anyone else had it?
Michael Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Other teachers I know also signed up to receive a free memory stick and received nothing, but that was quite some time ago now. As the old saying goes, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
Butters Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Dodgy company for sure, no sign of the memory sticks and they've harvested alot of emails in the education sector. I wonder what they could do with that!
jack0w Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Right, I'm dragging this thread up again to complain about more spam, about Morrison's gardening equipment this time. Has anyone else had it? Yep i had that exact email this morning And just like everyone else, no memory stick here either!
jamin100 Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 I kind of feel responsible as i posted the link. like you all we haven't received any memory sticks either. All i can say is sorry
muppet Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I notice from their website that they are going to be at BETT 2010 and The Education Show 2010. I wonder how many people will drop by to say hello and where's my bloody pen!?!
JJonas Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I notice from their website that they are going to be at BETT 2010 and The Education Show 2010. I wonder how many people will drop by to say hello and where's my bloody pen!?! Oh good im going to asked to be removed from their list
powdarrmonkey Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Hmm, I may consider drafting an email that we* can 'sign'. *that is, anyone who cares enough, which is currently me.
