To be honest with everyone - quite disappointed that we've got to recreate all the policies, etc. from scratch - this coupled with the missing components, we're sticking with V1 for as long as we can (basically till our licence expires) with a view to looking at an alternate solution.  I mean, if we've got to start again from scratch, its worth reviewing who we get the solution from.  More than likely to stay with SENSO, but i'm not doing anywork on 2.0 until all the options are there

Have had similar issues:

- Website Logging stopped one day and only started again once I had deleted the main logging and blocking policy and recreated it.

- Website Logging history is not complete.  Debug logs on Windows suggests it can see all the websites going through, but not all of them are logged in the admin panel.

- No Log On module in V2 yet

- Windows clients are very inconsistent at appearing online.  V1 was more reliable

Really not sure what exactly was tested on this prior to release, as most the bugs that I'm raising are being acknowledged and sent to Dev's to fix, but that just confirms they haven't been tested very well!

"We have also located a bug with the "waiting for screen" and this is currently with our QA team to be reviewed and then updated to our live platform, which should resolve the screen issues also"

Can someone run this connectivity checker on the EU web servers?

https://senso.cloud/checkconnection/

And confirm the various IP's on the TURN/STUN are actually down? This may explain the issues people are facing with random connectivity....

I've independently verified they are down using a 3rd party port checked but just wanted to make sure. This probably is why people are seeing bad results as it seems to use a round robin approach.

4.209.43.109

4.209.44.53

are both down and not responding.

Strangely enough the Australia IPs are all working 😂

Yep, down here too!

I was relieved to find this post, it's nice to know it's not just us having issues! We only use this on ChromeOS devices for monitoring screens in lessons.

Like others have mentioned before the summer we tested V2 and it seemed to work well. Since the new term it's been nothing but trouble:

  • Our deployment group randomly changed over the summer without notice so all our whitelisted URLs were wrong
  • It seems the 'Client Name' changed and some extra API scopes were added for Google Classroom integration but again no warning of this
  • This week we have had the console showing 'too many requests' and 'unexpected response' when in developer tools. So thumbnail view either doesn't work or takes 5 minutes to populate. (support have escalated to devs)
  • The last few days only 5-10 devices out of a classful are showing online in the console (another ticket today)

And having read this thread I now realise the Google Classroom sync doesn't actually work automatically either 🙄

Yup. On LGfL for internet who give us Safeguard Cloud for free, and have set up the right firewall rules for everyone already, and it's giving me errors for STUN/TURN. Doesn't affect us as we're only using the captures, but certainly this thread is making me reconsider moving away from Impero for tech support and sending messages to classrooms (which we use in place of a school-wide speaker/bell system).

The problem i've got is, i've tried all the major 'Classroom Management' tools and no one is perfect. Senso is so close to being fantastic but it has some drawbacks (mainly websites acting oddly for no reason - disable the service and the website works again)

We have Impero ed pro, which runs fine but takes up a server. We have a year left on the contract. I'd love to find something more lightweight and/or cloud but it seems all the alternatives simply aren't as good!

We moved from Senso to Classroom Cloud a few years ago and it's been pretty rock solid. Probably the best I've used out of Impero & Senso.

User interface is a bit clunky and the settings menu can be a bit confusing at times but apart from that, can't knock it.

Well it seems that (after 4 weeks from reported) the issue where marking as resolved didn't mark as resolved when going through one by one has actually been fixed.

Still looking at splitting safeguarding to a different product and possibly using Senso for classroom management only

We looked at this too but felt it was a bit in its infancy...but looked promising!

I get that. We took a gamble when we joined up 2 years ago - it was definitely barebones but I think it's in a pretty good place now. Every month there are new dev updates. I'd say it has most of the features of the other two. Worth grabbing a trial for anyone who is interested.

I can't ever trust a company that has a pricing page that links to a form for a "quote".

What are they trying to hide...?

the discounts they give to people who ask

Drives me up the wall too but that tends to be how most companies do business now.

The days of upfront pricing are slowly coming to an end. I detest needing to deal with sales to find out a rough price.

Still, the service is good. And for anyone interested - we pay £5.50 a device for the Classroom & IT Management package.

We have had ALL the issues listed above.  Unfotunately, I was so fond of the old version that I rolled out the new before realizing there would be so many issues.  My biggest gripe atm is that the categories hold all the power over my whitelist.  I have had dual credit classes as well as our JH/HS classes that couldn't get to sites simply becuase I had streaming and social networking enabled in categories. Even though the sites were whitelisted.  I ended up having to disable those categories and add streaming or social networking sites to the block list to keep them from going to them.  I have been in contact with support every single day since implementing it and with the time difference with support, it has been awful.

still have issues where the ssl exceptions do not kick in, and this causes onshape to stop working for student 😞

Onshape was working on Client version 2025.3.11.1, but when we updated to 2025.7.29.1 student files no longer load. I've opened a ticket with Senso.

Yeah, it is like it is ignoring the SSL override to not inspect that page!

Yup, seeing this too on our iSAMS instance...and OnShape!

We have a ticket into them for this too!

Funnily I was just about report this here as I've been investigating this over the last few days!

It not a new client issue as we been on that version for a while, the issue is with an update network filtering module they pushed out on the 6th!

We only ever had filtering enabled for students, now all devices have SSL intercept enabled and all existing policies for this is being ignored which would include excluding specific SSL!

I can't actually believe they forced us to the V2, then it's not even finished, lots of modules incomplete, not working, and the new design? Not great.

I feel like we are paying for a half baked product.

Thoughts on the new design?

I have installed v2 on all the windows machines that v1 is on, and whenever I look at active machines, I can see dozens on V1 but only a few on V2, so I am not confident it is working, so am not turning v1 off anytime soon.

V2 should have been released as a pilot to a select group first. The number of unfinished modules and issues is concerning. If it weren’t for the bugs, it has the potential to be a much better product. I suspect that once all these bugs are properly ironed out—rather than rushing fixes that end up breaking other things—it could really shine.
