I wonder if the SSL issues were related to the poor internet performance we've had recently.

We get the free Safeguarding module from LGfL, who have said to keep website monitoring off and as those sites are already blocked in their web filter.

Where is this information?

Support informed me of this, and looking at our computers it does seem to be the case that this has been resolved.

Another thing that Senso broke recently which I've flagged up in case anyone use it, is Intune Kiosk mode.
Senso been delete the AutoAdminLogon and AutoLogonCount setting in the registry.

Really? I had to make a remediation script to get this working now I'm wondering if this was Senso all along...

Yes really, Microsoft Advanced logging recorded it deleting these registry entries, don't ask me why it is doing that!
I went on to uninstall Senso from one of the Machine and since doing that it been fine ever since.

V1 Again but I'm doubting they do it differently

The "login tool" seems to work by setting the AutoAdmin login keys and they restarting the login service to work. Which has caused us tons of issues when it doesn't clear they keys properly (ie logging in as the admin account that was bulked logged on for whatever reason) and if your staff are using the login tool it would explain why its clearing the keys

auto shutdown schedule doesnt work for some reason

I managed to get it to work better (but still not 100%) when I created a separate auto log off 5 minutes before an auto shutdown. With just the shutdown policy it was only shutting down 25% at most.

Is anyone having issues with Senso stopping browsing working on the latest ChromeOS version on a Chromebook?  v141.0.7390.115 seems fine but v141.0.7390.134 seems to have real problems accessing websites, with timeout errors, or sites just hanging.

I haven't seen that yet, but our children tend to not restart even when it is nagging them to update it

I think we may have narrowed it down to the Senso Blur extension.....

We can see staff screens but student screens come up with this error message 'No online group members found. Please ensure you are viewing thumbnails for the correct group'

Probably something easy to fix...it's been a long time since we set up Senso....

I would say check your firewall/filtering rules, as there are more things needed for v2 https://support.senso.cloud/support/solutions/articles/79000139186-2-0-firewall-and-content-filter-configuration

Probably worth checking the client version too, as the Windows one had a bug in where groups weren’t being picked up correctly when we rolled out of Summer

That’s fixed in a later one

We reported this issue 5 days ago.  They have acknowledged the bug but still have no idea what's causing it, so in the meantime, we've had to block the Blur extension so that students can actually use their Chromebooks. So, we have a product that we can't use and they have no timeline as to when we will be able to use it.

New client has been brilliant so far, seems to work very well.

We also stopped users switching in windows which has also helped.

Glad we persevered with this actually, its been working very well recently. I think disabling "switch user" on our student desktops helped a lot.
