How do you do enough exercise in your 30 minute lunch and have time to eat? I used to have an hour lunch so 30 minutes for a walk and 30 minutes to eat? My step have been poor.

Depends what you regard as exercise. You can walk and eat, but if you want to go for a run you’ll have to compromise (either bolting something afterwards, having some sort of meal replacement or not eating at that time).

Or exercise before/after work.

I'm in the position where I can leave home early, drive the 25 miles to work and run around the local park but whilst I am at work I'm frequently out of my chair and walking across site. Even when I lived 6 miles from work I'd bike, run or walk and If I were 8 miles from work I'd consider walking, running or riding a bike. At a previous place it was quicker to walk the 6 miles to work than take public transport.

Leaving early means I avoid rush hour and even if I don't run I can jus get a shower and jus start work early. If I'm working from home I can get up a bit earlier and run round the local area, there are circular routes from 3 miles to 20 miles and yep I have done 20 miles in the morning before a 9am work start a few times.

exe-r-cise? What is this word?

Jokes aside, i get 30mins of lunch which i work through so i don't get to go for a walk etc. I do have the option to if i want but normally happy to not.

I walk the dog in the morning and constantly on the move at work anyway so get my steps in.

Ideally I would walk the dogs before work.

I used to be an early riser but I can’t get the wife to get to bed on time. It does not help her late finish on two nights. So getting up got harder going to bed at 11.30pm. We have repeatedly tried to go to bed at 10.30pm but there always seems to be the excitement of hanging out washing just as we are going to bed.

Have a child and you'll wake up at 6am everyday without fail! We go to bed at 9pm wake up at 6am. Time to walk the dog, feed the kid and get her to nursery by 8:30!

I applaud the high ambition of getting lunch and exercise into a lunchbreak. Or indeed, either of the two.

It's sandwich at the desk here, has been for years. I've tried to get into a lunchbreak routine where I at least take half an hour away from my desk, but frankly, there's nowhere that attractive to spend it here.

Get home 5:15, Child to bed routine 5:30-6. Dinner 6:15. Rest till 9pm then bed.

All main jobs get done at the weekend apart from small bits like Bins etc.

What lunch? I rarely eat lunch let alone take a break.

As for exercise, I've got back into running 2 or 3 times a week.
