Hi all,

Didn’t know where to put this but I’ll be making a few changes in my local network but curios to know if everyone else is upgrading anything?

Did the SIMS updates on Friday afternoon after the school closed at 1pm, have put December 2021 CU on all workstations and servers and given all servers a reboot. Put more ram in a couple of HP blades. DNM is installing some new cctv cameras. And the final job was a full backup and then turn off all backup servers until Jan, decided to leave them all powered off at the plug and cold should anything bad happen during the shutdown.

Jus migrated 2500 APs to a new managed cluster with 2 new mobility controllers and one of the existing controllers updated. Was a very long weekend. Edited by Davit2005

Moved server updates from SCCM to WufB

Moved Papercut server from 2012 R2 to 2019

Moving from Task Sequence to Autopilot

Decommissioning SCCM

Moving various bits to Azure, just setup Bastion

Those are the main bits!

Just updated all the hosts and the VM's held within. All completely up to date. UniFi bits and bobs all updated as needed. I'll do the SIMS update in the New Year, knowing my luck it'll throw a wobbly just as no one is available to help if it does.

I'll sacrifice a chicken, light a few incense sticks and bang a few gongs in the server room to the IT Gods and hope nothing goes a miss while we're away.

Currently installing Server 2016 updates on my main file server and then primary DC and that’ll be 1 job of the list. Next is office 365 stuff that needs sorting.

Need to fix the printers too 🥲

Have upgraded my home setup actually - my miserable ancient Plusnet router/modem with its intermittent wifi has been supplanted by a Tenda AX1800 router which will basically be an AP. Happy enough with the wired connections so no change needed there. Edited by 3s-gtech
