[misc] Edugeek Is Slow

Hi,

 

I am finding the site is pretty slow at the moment. It's taking ages to open pages. This is on a gigabit internet connection so it should be more than enough! Other sites (such as Reddit) are fine.

 

Not sure it's everyone or maybe just a people in Australia?

Generally a performance hit is noticeable when visiting some websites (for smaller organisations) that are based in the UK.

You are on the opposite side of the planet. It's more likely to be network contention between you and the UK I'd have thought.

 

According to a whois search, Edugeek is hosted by AWS in Ireland so although Edugeek may be a small entity, Amazon sure ain't!
