We specify a PROXY and then a different port for Students, Staff or Techies. The staff port isn't working for me today, but the others are. Logged a ticket but wondered if anyone else had similar?

Hi Stuart,

Yep we are seeing the same with two sites. We've been unable to move to their inline due to building work and COVID ( being a hub school )

I have also logged a ticket

Yup. I called up around midday for an update and the guy I spoke to said he couldn't see a ticket! He has now logged one and I have received an email confirmation of that. I also said to him that some guy called stevo1565 had the same problem and he said "Oh I know Stevo"! I spoke to Dave there. Don't know if you know him?

Only got a couple of cleaners and a couple of caretakers on site so didn't know there was an issue till I was being thrown out by th esite team. I could access the web as local admin and as network manager but not as staff or student. I tried adding one of the site staff to the no-filter netsweeper group but didn't seem to help.

Tried to access the remote server just now from home and couldn't reach it so maybe the problem is getting worse...

Is there a status page for schoolsbroadband? I've been looking but haven't come across one yet. They've not been over responsive when I've contacted online - been good via the phone,

Hi folks.

Sorry for my late response I'm on holiday at the moment.

I've just messaged my cto who will update me soon I'm sure and I'll post here.

We've been doing a major data centre move over the past couple of weeks so it could potentially be linked to this but I'll confirm and get back to you.

Thanks for your patience.

Ah yes definitely an issue then, I can RDP into school, but was troubleshooting my ADSync server and realised no access to the internet on site so related for sure... will await update later this morning then, thanks!

We've had the same issue with our office staff, I took the proxy off and they are able to connect. I logged a support request yesterday at 9.06 via email, had an automatic response. I also logged on to the HUB and could see my support request but its been ignored. Not great on the first day back for children, the office staff were pulling their hair out.

:(

Good morning everyone,

I can assure you your support requests definitely aren't ignored!

I can confirm that the proxy issue has been fixed. We've moved moved majority of customers off our old proxy solution and migrated then to our standard transparent proxy solution instead.

We'd love to move any of you left on there. Please contact our support team to get this actioned. We'll be in touch directly over the next month or so to all remaining customers too.

Thanks for your patience and sorry for the issue. If you still think you have a problem please call the team and mention this thread and that its a noc issue specifically but it should now be fixed.

Anyone having issues at the moment?

We did last Friday. Completely fell down, right as our new catering system was being installed. The backup line didn't kick in.

To be fair to SBB/TS the fault was with the carrier as our main connection fell down, but the backup line was on them. Still haven't heard from those who handle it what the issue was with the backup line.

When the connection works, it works well. When it goes down, it falls down hard.

Still have massive misgivings over Netsweeper and it's qualities (or lack their of) though. Really wish they'd done a deal with Lightspeed or Securly and moved to cloud filtering, rather than go backwards to Netsweeper.

Morning folks.

We are currently investigating. Initial thoughts are we may have an issue with a Fortigate cluster which has numerous inlines connected to it. So it will effect a subset of customers.

This is still tbc though. Please see the hub for latest updates.

I still do not understand the monitoring that you do. I had schools go offline as early as midnight, and then more at 04:30 yet you only discover this issue when we tell you?
