1 due to being unsure of the correct option - I didn't know there was an authorised way of writing the plural of a letter but I would have written it the correct way

so I chose the other way as I suspected it was a trick!

Technically there isn’t one as they’re both proper nouns. However, different styles apply to classical & Biblical names to modern people’s names apparently

I inherited my pedantry from my Dad who was a newspaper editor at one point in his career.

 

He accepted that sometimes there is more than one option that could be considered correct, but his strictest rule was that you should adopt a style and stick to it.

 

He did concede that occasionally a rule could change because so many people get it consistently wrong.

 

I don;t think there are any occasions when you can use a semi-colon for a contraction.

 

But mostly I'm trying to justify why I got 9/10!
