smurfomatic Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Saw a car the other day with a "wee person on board" sticker. The font was so difficult to read, at first glance I thought it said "we poison our bread" 2

Popular Post LeMarchand Posted March 17, 2024 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2024 If Old Bay is "the only one you need", why have they also made a "lemon & herb" variant? 6
Norphy Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 Well, it's .tr so from their point of view it must be 0°...
mikeprice Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 Well done to the designer for putting in the commas correctly However, could they please clarify which animals are allowed motorcycles under 50cc - and add the appropriate apostrophe (i.e. animal's) and also etc I know I know me moaning about grammar but this one seems quite funny 4
LeMarchand Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 I see a lot of this firm's vehicles about, mainly, somewhat appropriately, just sat there. Why would you name your firm something that makes it sound as if your staff don't really do a lot?Google reviews suggest that perhaps it's safer for all concerned when their vehicles aren't moving, though. 4
LeMarchand Posted April 3, 2024 Posted April 3, 2024 Yes, this is very picky but, for reasons I'll go into in the "What annoying things..." thread later, I was not a happy bunny. The bottom squiggle is for the change in font size and lack of capitals for the Thai dish. Can you spot any mistakes I've missed? One you won't be able to spot is that either their catering packs were incorrectly labelled, of someone didn't know the difference between Beef Bourguignon and braised beef.
Jawloms Posted April 3, 2024 Posted April 3, 2024 Sadly I don't have pictures, but years ago the local paper had a shop front for a while. They would print out headlines and things on A4 and stick them in the window. Every single one had "Sample text here" at the top and bottom.

Menus are often problematic to parse. For instance, "charred red pepper and spinach puree": is the charred red pepper puréed?
Popular Post Ditto Posted April 10, 2024 Popular Post Posted April 10, 2024 Spotted on local social media. That's a lot of free carpet! 5

Jawloms Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 One of my teachers has just forwarded me this with a subject of "Joined up thinking?". It gets added to the footer of all emails which go in to Suffolk County Council. I can kind of see his point..... I always think similar when I spend money on line and my bank sends me a text message with a code to enter to confirm it’s me, but then the text also says “NEVER share this code with ANYONE!”. But I need to, that's why you've sent me the text! 1

LeMarchand Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Just had an email about a laptop that comes equipped with advanced features such as an Ethernet port for stable connectivity Now, I know that some laptops no longer have an Ethernet port to save space, but it's hardly "advanced". 1

They left the intern to write the content for the product support E-Mail while the rest of the office went out to the pub?...
LeMarchand Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 ^^^ The preview of the above in "iSpy" could also do with improvement.
Ditto Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 I won't be passing comment on Sports, PE, spelling and teachers - oops, I just did! 1
stevejp Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 It passed the spellcheck but… Well, to be (very) pedantic for a moment, it isn’t actually moving… 4
LeMarchand Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Clintons seem to be underselling their offer. 1
Jawloms Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Popped out for a walk and a cuppa yesterday. I've been assured this is a White Coffee. 2
