Dos_Box Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Well, we have 45 of us here at the conf with 15 no shows () and at the £30 per person we have paid out that's a bit naughty of you! Remeber, we have your name tags Anyway, the atmosphere is excellent and the weather great. Time for Grumbledooks slot now.
contink Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Glad you're enjoying yourselves... hoist a few for those of us still deep in the trenches digging ourselves out of the dung heap

GrumbleDook Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 So can we on the boards heckle from the back? Don't think much of his shirt. what he say? SPEAK UP!! Oi ... leave my shirt out of it! It isn't my fault that the ironing facilities at the Ibis don't meet the standards of the EduGeek Ironing Society.
tscnmuk Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Oi ... leave my shirt out of it! It isn't my fault that the ironing facilities at the Ibis don't meet the standards of the EduGeek Ironing Society. You should have taken your own advice from this morning - a hot brick and some spit wasn't it?
Edu-IT Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 You do realise that this isn't making sense to those of us who aren't there? Well, at least it isn't making sense to me anyway.
EduTech Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I was just going to mention the hot brick lol (but my laptop is broken now god dam)... but tbh if you put it on the floor and lyed on it .. it might of been better then the Ibis iron James
strawberry Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I was just going to mention the hot brick lol (but my laptop is broken now god dam)... but tbh if you put it on the floor and lyed on it .. it might of been better then the Ibis iron James right place to be with a broken laptop!.
Joedetic Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I wonder if the guy from RM knows he's not getting his sub-notebooks back lol
GrumbleDook Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 But why do I need a sub-notebook? I have my MacBookPro with me.
russdev Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 So you can sign up to the wireless at the conference centre of course
Joedetic Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I'm not a fan of the eeeeeeeepc but I do like the HP offering.
elsiegee40 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 But why do I need a sub-notebook? I have my MacBookPro with me. MacBookPro - that's got a metal case - warmed up, it might make a substitute iron! Have you thought of carefully folding the shirt and putting it under the MacBook while you work?
tscnmuk Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Well I have my MacBook Pro and my MiniNote - you'll notice I'm using the MBP though. Tom
Sylv3r Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Thanks to all for the hard work put in - I've done a round trip of about 260 miles and will probably go to the next conference held at ?????? (just in case its a surprise). Will take me a little longer to get down so will need to find alternative transport possibly. Very professionally organised day, good venue and food wasn't bad either. Well everyone will be in the pub now - have a beer for me )
john Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Want to say a big public thanks to everyone involved today, was a great day, and throughly enjoyable, nice to put faces to names and catch up with the all the admins again and this time members. Was nice to see so many of you in the pub afterwards when there was ample constructive discussion, well certainly was from our table anyway! so yes very nice day and lovely drive there and back. I'd go for another northern conference at that venue again nice and easy to get to off the M-Way, not bad at all and the hotel pub location for the evening was good, only took me 45 mins to get back according to the car, so all well and good. Thanks Again John
EduTech Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 right place to be with a broken laptop!. No! your right lol.. was not the only one though Never really needed it anyhow was drinking afterwards the straight to bedd haha!
