hardtailstar Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Weird thing is EE went at same time as Virgin the last two times internet has problems
MatthewL Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 I'm tethered to my EE myfi and its working ok, early night for me I'm done with today. Best sort itself out tomorrow, if not I will be tethered all day, EE really have saved the day for me, unlimited data as well from them at the minute too.

Ive only had the issue this evening which annoyingly is when I have actually needed the internet. Still strange that I couldn't send a text each time Virgin went down, might just be a cowinky dink but i'll wait and see at 22:17 haha
mikeprice Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Weird thing is EE went at same time as Virgin the last two times internet has problems Don't Virgin use the EE mobile network?? no clue why that is relevant but anyway
THERADIOTUBBY Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Wonder if it's anything to do with Edenred.... 1

LeMarchand Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Thats only mobile but they use Vodafone now I think. IIRC it's EE at present, Voda in 2021. 1
howartp Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 23:17 internet down. Best me to it. YouTube video stopped dead on 11.17
FishCustard Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 This is (was?) definitely a BGP issue. Each downtime was 3 minutes, which is about how long it takes for BGP routes to reconverge. Then there was about 6 minutes of flapping while routers catch up, then it's fine until the next time. God only knows what's going on, but it's definitely BGP related.
mikeprice Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 LAst night the Virgin site was saying there was a problem with catch up and other similar stuff - but we saw no actual problems today the site says it is all clear - so it could have been fixed overnight
