A number of parents have reported that our google forms are no longer working on the Samsung browser on Android mobile devices. Have verified this on my own S7 although all data can be entered if I install firefox or chrome on my device. Any other workarounds that anyone is aware of?

Hi Guys I volunteer as the station engineer at a hospital radio station. We have just had donated a couple of HP DL360 G6 rack servers each with 32Gb of Ram and Dual Xeon E5504 processors. Servers will hopefully replace aging Dell 2850’s each of which has a separate role however donations came without drives (or OS) so looking at making best use of them with our limited budget as we are a charity. Initial idea was to install windows 10 which we have full enterprise licenses for (drivers appear to be available) then go Hyper-V installing say three VMs on each host – we do not need a full Domain, DHCP, DNS etc Roles include file server (for Mp3s), SQL server for playout system, Shoutcast server, Recording server, Web Server, Server running our 24 hour software etc – all of which are not particularly processor or memory intensive. So what about the drives? One small Raid for the host OS and a larger one for the VMs? Is the redundancy of RAID worth it? If I backup the VMs regularly? SAS drives or SATA? Any point in SSD? What capacity? – our music library is around 400Gb Any suggestions much appreciated Thanks in advance

Want to restrict attendance to parents using their child's logins Can create live event which works well but no option appears to enable q&a and q&a facility is not available in the meeting? Policy? Hi Have we have linked our Office365 to Sims with Ruler and created Teams for each Class. Before staff get carried away what happens at the end of the year when we get a new timetable with new class codes etc? In particular lets say if students create a class notebook in class 10Opt1Cs (Computer Science) when it becomes 11Opt1Cs next year?? Thanks

As we are quite happy with the look and feel of our website we are looking for someone to recode our design and host. Help!! I have setup an ical feed from our 365 calendar that links to a calendar on our website which has worked fine for the last couple of years. Hi In brief, we have a system currently in another software product where students are given points in different areas, academic, creative, leadership, voluntary, sport, and vocational which they collect towards receiving awards. We need to move this into Sims. Can anyone help move the totals they currently have into sims? Manually its a heck of job.... but does anyone know a way of importing say from a spreadsheet an achievement already created called say leadership for each student worth their current points total for that area? Can it be done? .... a small fee may be available... Thanks

Hi Currently our Sims SQL and Doc storage is running on a decent Windows server 2012 standard box under Microsoft SQL 2012 Whilst checking for updates for the latest processor vulnerabilities it appears microsoft are not going to release a 2012 standard update only a R2 one. How safe is it to upgrade from 2012 to 2012 R2 with Sims in situ? Would it be better to do a whole reinstall to the latest server OS and SQL version? Any advice much appreciated?

Hi I have my website calendar setup so that it is synched via a feed from my main 365 calendar webcals://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/......... At the moment this only syncs events up to 6 months in advance Is there any tweak that could extend this to say 12 months??? Thanks Mark

One student account in 365 has correct licenses etc Lets user go to onedrive however on screen no folders or documents even New, Upload and Synch do not appear on the bar However log in as admin go to student and go to his onedrive all is there including files and folders that he has previously uploaded Webpart missing?, permissions? What do I do??????

Hi We have two Cunninghams Revaluers that were installed in 2010 and are owned by the school but supported by Cunninghams We have been told that the note readers cannot be firmware upgraded to cope with the new polymer £5 notes It is also unlikely that the coin reader will work with the new £1 coin out in March 2017 - no firmware is available apparantly for any machines?? What are other schools doing? Upgrading the note readers on two machines is going to cost £400 labour... Do I bite the bullet and have 1 labour charge and upgrade both note and coin reader over the summer. Do I just have the note reader done. If I buy the parts is it easy just to plug them in myself?? Can any other supplier than cunninghams supply compatible readers?? I would ideally like to to do it for as low a cost as possible but be sure that the system will be compatible with all coin changes for the next few years Any advice???

Hi After an electrical storm we arrived today to find that the motherboard on our cashless catering server had fried. Working with Cunninghams we installed a new server, copied across all the files etc. across from the old hard drive and had the system back up and running for 12:30pm. Thanks especially to Alex at Cunninghams for helping us out in our hour of need. If only everyone realised what was going on behind the scenes!!!

Hi Using Sims report - Design report to create an analysis report for behaviour incidents Trying to get total of incidents for different types by half term Created some good reports eg type against outcome for a specific date range entered when run Is there anyway of getting type against term without re-running the report entering the term dates each time and copy and pasting the total column from my type against outcome report Hope I've explained this properly Am I also write that discover still cannot do analysis in a given date range within a year? The work that you do is absolutely critical to a successful results day, and I hope that you have received all the help and support you needed from us this week. Equally, we work hard to ensure that our systems and services provide you with what you need, when you need it. As you may be aware, our EDI results files were not available to download by A2C at midnight on Wednesday as planned. Due to a technical issue, the results files were made available just after 3am. I would like to apologise to anyone who experienced a delay in downloading their EDI files as a result of this delay. Our Technology team is investigating the cause of the delay and will take action to ensure that this doesn’t reoccur. We will also review how we update you on any issues that arise outside of our normal office hours on results days. We look forward to working with and supporting you over the coming academic year. Been doing this for a while its always normally just after midnight for all boards... via a2c Checked and I can't see its any different this year. That might be the time when they appear on edexcelonline??? Have fun

Hi Have just moved our email over to Office365 and crossed fingers all appears to be well.... I now need to configure our INSIGHT parent's portal and website to allow the posting of emails from webpages. Under the old exchange system I just added the smtp server and account details and it worked! Has anyone any experience of this with Office365? I have attached the config screen from Insight. Thanks
