MkII Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Aren't some tests already going to be moved over to Hwb in the near future? I live in hope that these will be of the hands off variety that we rarely get. At least most kids here now know their Hwb logins since we rolled out Minecraft Exams in Minecraft - that's what it'll be!
Scan099 Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Being based in Wales this just makes me cringe. The WJEC exam board messed up the computer science exam last year with the greenfoot version. There was a question which required the later version of greenfoot not the version requested. So how are they going to accommodate 220 (year group size) of our school we don't have that many desktop PC's. I am sure H&S would love the extension leads required for 220 laptops to be used for exams. As someone else posted they won't ask anyone working in the School or in IT about this. 1

DrBeaker Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 (edited) We've had one today, the National Reference tests. Both problems were with their end of the system. Wrong code for a student and them not following their own instructions. But that's my time I'm having to spend supporting issues with someone else's external system instead of actually being able to help staff. Edited February 26, 2020 by DrBeaker
john Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 I will re-open this thread, please stay away from the Politics around this, open sensible professional debate on this possible change is fine but School Funding Formulae, how a school spends it etc is NOT permitted as there are many things people may not be aware of in individual schools and its Political and we are not permitting Political discussion. Please be kind to each other and stay off the abusing each other and schools priorities and respect different schools may have different issues / approaches no-ones is right or wrong at this time given we do not have a concrete clear details on how its going to run yet 1
