Black jeans (basically black trousers but harder to kill), cheapo £10 black shoes (destroyed by my feet in a year), black socks (cheap), my choice of long or short sleeved shirt (currently a very faded once-red shirt from about 6 years hence).

 

Tie doesn't happen unless it's a parents eve/special occasion. I have a collection of IT themed ties for that. Can't be doing with dangly things in my way.

 

Non-uniform days - same apart from the shirt..usually a T-Shirt, usually black, usually Thinkgeek. Probably the "I void warranties" one, this next time.

The first school I worked at insisted I wore a suit every day... which I did reluctantly... Along with Steel-Toe CAT boots...

 

The second school I worked at was a bit more relaxed, so got away with shirt and tie... Until I asked if I could wear something more suitable - polo shirt & tougher pants...

 

Didn't really ask when I got to my current job, just started as I meant to go on... Got some dickies on order, but just wear steel-toe boots, polo shirts (primark's wicked for cheap ones, and decent sizes)...

 

I'd hate to have to go back to shirt & tie now... far too awkward.

i used to get decent trousers, but getting up and sitting down constantly kept wearing them out. lol I dont know how but it did.

Black polo with school logo (or today's choice, a black polo shirt from an RM seminar with their logo on it... have to try my best for bsf hoho!), black trousers, black shoes... everything black! Just right for this weather... 'doh

I wear a suit here and it doesn't particuarly bother me. The two technicians wear shirt and tie.

 

As has been previously mentioned if I need to get under desks etc I take my jacket off etc.

Personally, I used to wear shirt, tie, black trousers for work, but as things progressed I ended up in various roof spaces etc. So I have lost the tie and migrated down to tidy trousers/sometimes black jeans and smart shirt/polo shirt.

 

I wouldn`t feel happy in ripped jeans and a tee shirt for very long. (unless its school holidays).

 

Special occasions means the suit comes out, usually to questions like where's the interview!

 

The rest of my team seem to be retaining the ties at the moment......

Black trousers, shirt, tie. i've been mistaken for a student a few times. I've still got my tie on now and i've been home 4 hours almost, feel most comfortable in a suit/shirt tie outfit.

Smart trousers and a shirt here, definatly no tie (for some reason I'm not keen on on having stuff tied round me neck).

Usual work-wear is a decent-ish pair of trousers and a shirt. Have been known on the odd occasion to wear a suit but its really not practical when working next to (in!) a building site.

 

I would wear a suit everyday to work, if they put in air-con and paid me enough to buy them. Our deputy head is currently entertaining the idea of 'uniform' for all support staff starting with us, wouldnt mind so much but you just know that we wont get the slightest bit of input about it:rolleyes:

normally dark smart jeans with either plain t-shirt or levi top. with tan/stone loafers.

 

in this heat now

 

blue Henri Lloyd shorts, blue trainers/tennis shoes, levi shirt or similiar.

don't forget to use sun/moisturising cream to protect your face in this weather.

 

keep aftershave and deodrant in the office and use regularly if wearing colours that show sweat.

It seems to infuriate people. I might go short-sleeved tomorrow. Does anyone wear a namebadge of any sort? I'm contemplating finding an old DIL microchip and engraving my name on that, then turning it into one.

Shirt and tie for me, with black jeans and black shoes. There is another tech here that wears shirt and tie, but the others merly wear shirt and jeans. I feel that if you wear a shirt and tie, you look and feel more important than those that dont wear shirt and tie or suits.

Usaully shirt, tie and trousers. Today i've got the short sleeves out, so it's more than likely going to rain! We support various primary schools aswell as the secondary school we're based at. We normally look smarter than the teaching staff

 

Obviously in the holidays its whatever you want.

Varies for me here depending on the weather, sometimes it's padded trousers and a hoodie (i cycle to work, winter isn't fun) or summer it's british DPM combats and a t-shirt or 3/4s and a t-shirt(usually political) =D

Smart trowsers and shirt for us. Went into new look and bought 4 shirts the other week for about £20. I think i have onyl worn suit once and that was my first day before the old nm said dont bother. Have asked for polos in past but i got a no and was told your lucky we dont make you wear suit and ties!!!
