Hello all,

I will be taking my camera with me but can anyone recommend places to go or things to do?

I will be there for about 8 days. Im a Kent lad so apart from the few places ive been with my brother im not sure what there is.

I have a car so can travel

Any recommendations?

If you like photography and have transport, how about a day trip to the Peak District?

Sounds like a plan.

Depends what you're after.

Uppermill is a nice area to walk around and have a drink. Royton also now has a few bars and a good restaurant (Istanblue). It's always worth a trip to the best football club in England (might be bias) but wrap up warm!

Could always visit Tandle Hill Park as well. It's quite big and rather scenic, compared to the others.

I have only visited Oldham to work in old cotton mills - which points towards the possibility of photographing old industrial heritage

you could look here Home - Oldham

If you're coming to Liverpool - there is loads of good stuff to do - if you havn't been on the ferries you have to go - just ignore the locals cringing at the 'Ferry across the Mersey' - soundtrack

Plus the whole 3 Graces thingy and Mathew Street

and there MIGHT be a few pubs around - can't say I've noticed
