TechMonkey Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Is anyone else just getting a blank page in Firefox when trying to go to anything in the support.microsoft.com domain? IE is fine just firefox. Look at the source and it is just blank. No error message, no page cannot be found, just blank! I think it is a ploy personally. Or a personal attack by Steve against me. Damn him.

litux Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 When I go to Microsoft Help and Support (or all the pages there) I get a blank page in firefox 2 and in IE 7 I get the "I cannot display this page". When I go to exactly the same page in Opera, the page displays. All the 3 browsers on my laptop use the same company forward proxy server. What is going on? Some weeks ago this problem did not occur. Nothing there in logfiles...........

OutToLunch Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Quick and dirty fix - I just went into about:config and set network.http.accept-encoding to a blank string. All working again now. Looking at IE7 wireshark captures, it doesn't seem to be sending an accept-encoding header... Doh.
