MDM Recommendations for iPads

Apple use it themselves and Jamf gets first day rollout support (they are ready for iOS updates from the first day of release).

 

It's dead easy to use, works a charm and only costs £9 per iPad per year for education.

I didn't realize you got 25 licences with InTune, these can then be issued to student iPads and aren't linked to Staff members accounts I assume?

My thoughts too... Jamf is good, but it's very expensive!

You actually license everything through the user rather than the devices.

 

I actually thought it was 15 student license per every FTE Staff, but either way it normally covers the Students for free

Yep, our last quote for jamf cloud and around 1200 ipads was £5.80 per license.

RE Mosyle, I'm quite liking the look of it particularly the free part of it! Just trying to work out if we would massively miss any features. Can anyone tell me if you can add plist files to apps? Can't see an option for it. We like to pre-fill any server address' etc in Apps such as Foldr.

We're aiming to end up with Jamf and InTune (moving away from Meraki free edition as it becomes less and less supported)

 

We have Jamf for Macs already so adding the iPads is fairly minimal cost, then InTune for overall compliance reporting and management of roaming Windows 10 devices
