Hi, me again!

Thought you might like to know of another 'bug' that we have found. If working on a document, lets say called 'doc1', which you have saved. Pressing 'New' then starts again, however rather than prompt for a new filename when you press save, it overwrites the previous document 'doc1'.

hope that makes sense..

Can you enable the mouse scroll if the page is full up with text (or add a slider bar)?

Students have to hold the up/down arrow keys to scroll at the moment.

Thanks.

Hi, I have now fixed this bug, if you save a file then click on NEW, the file name is called "NewFile" instead of using the previous saved files name.

The version will be out later today

If you set 'SavePromptAfterCandidateInfoScreenOnLaunch' to 1 it brings up the save box but doesnt actually save the file.

Hi, I have now fixed this bug, the file now saves correctly in version 1.9.9

Clock is fine (probably easier to setup)?

Also for the page numbers, can there be an option to include the total number of pages?

Eg, each printed page to say Page 1/5, Page 2/5 and so on at the bottom left?

Thanks.

Nice work

Can this be ran as a replacement shell ? Also a nice option to have would be the ability to remove the exit button, maybe in the config

Not a major issue, but:-

I noticed the header information uses IE printer settings (current user).

No issue for the exam user.

Sometimes I have to print off work on a different computer due to no printers being in the original exam room.

If I do this, the IE header settings (centre number, name, exam paper etc) for the student remain on my own profile afterwards.

For example, I print off a random website and it has the previous exam header information at the top still.

Is there an alternative?

I search for our centre number key in regedit at the moment to remove it!

Thanks.

@GRitchie Depends, I currently use some ancient laptops and have set wordpad to the default shell, exiting wordpad leaves the laptop in limbo. It would be nice to have some fast booting cheap laptops with examwritepad as the shell - I'll do some testing later

As it stands it is suppose to put back the original values on program exit. BUT I have found an issue that if an original value is blank or never existed it crashed the function, so now I have put I place error checking so that all values will be restored.

Fixed for version 1.9.9.1 out later today.

Page counting is only available in the double line spacing option, .net doesn't have a way of knowing how many pages need to be printed until they HAVE printed. I suppose you would have to simulate printing to get page numbers (similar to print preview) then pass that to the actual print function.

I think that needs some I depth work but I will take a look to see how feasible it is

I currently only need it for the double line spacing option if that helps.

In teh config set the double line spacing option and use version 1.9.9.1 and you shall be OK!!

Version 1.9.9.1 is out below

Fixed the Headers/Footers for printing when using Double line spacing option, which al now includes totla number of page on each print out example: Page 1 / 5

Added a clock on the status bar in BOLD and uses system treading rather than timer tick should should be more accurate.

Excellent, looks good. Thanks. :)

Can the clock be moved to the bottom right out of interest (away from the tip text)?

Students/staff tend to glimpse at that area more due to the Windows clock display normally being there.
