RLR Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Are we talking any symbol or specific ones? What happen if you change the ExamWritePad config font family to Arial what happen then? I'm just building up a picture when I'm back in office to sort this out.... he says stuck on a deck chair in Malta, 30 degree sun, not that I'm trying to make anyone jealous :-) All symbols. The Character Map screen has a Font selection box at the top that defaults to Arial when a machine is first opening the software. If the software is closed and re-opened it keeps the last selected type face. It doesn't use what is in the config (screen font family). Also, pasting a symbol moves the writing cursor onto the next line.
ass17 Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 QUICK UPDATE In terms of Sentences reverting to UPPERCASE, I have also had this happen and it seems to be down to a keyboard combination shortcut. I cant at the moment find out which combination of keys it is. I could as a work around remove the the \caps element every auto save but I'd prefer a more permanent solution. So as it stands its on my to-do list...

When they go into the character map area, there is a font selection box at the top which seems to default Arial which is different to the font being used on their WordPad. I still get the highlighting error issue with any symbol. Edit: It seems the character map screen defaults to the last selected type face and not Arial. Hi, I have tried to insert a few symbols as shown below and it work fine for me. Albeit in Arial, but the symbols can be highlighted, cut copies pasted etc... @"!#$%'¶½¾¼₤℅€ If you can be more specific may be even create a video/screencast of how you made it fail I can understand where to start fixing it. Seems I can alt-f4 it though. If I fill in dummy data, just single characters a, or 1, it says fields cannot be empty. When exiting I get asked if I want to save, but no open to cancel exiting. If I change the centre number in the already filled in box, it doesn't print the new centre number.

Bypassing the candidate info screen can only be done when you double click on a saved file. Dummy data has to be 2 or more, not 1. Not sure what you mean by "but no open to cancel exiting". If you disable the option in the config to show candidate on startup then this wont happen for you. 2. I'll take a look, i suppose it doesnt matter if its 2 then it can be 1 also, see what I can do.. 3. Fixed, cancel button now in.. 4. I will keep the field visible but read-only. 1

I would like to send them the website but it doesn't seem to be up-to-date. Is it possible to update it so they can get the latest version? Or can I send them over the files we're using?

I keep forgetting to update the site so best thing is to zip up your files or memory stick them. This way they then use your config but remember to blank out the save paths if you are saving to the network. :-)

ass17 Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 If you get any errors at runtime it is likely to be down to the save/auto save paths in the config. Just make sure they are available and writeable...

I don't offer phone support but I could do a remote team viewer session if allowed on your network, if that helps.
