Anti-Virus / Anti-Malware - What do you use?

Hi all!

 

Just wondering what you all use for Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware?

 

We've had Symantec for a few years now (~£1800 for 999,999 seats) but the SEP Manager is awful.

 

Also how do you deploy your AV?

We are using Trend Micro's cloud hosted option. Moved from Symantec to it.

 

So far it's been a dream. Deployed just by allocating an MSI and all updates etc handled by them. It is now a default package on our machines when they build. Also offers ransomware protection too.

We have SCCM, and so we stopped using Sophos when it was time to renew and started using System Centre End Point Protection.

EduGeek (and our few machines) are trialing Bitdefender with cloud management right now, the client seems very light so far.

We’re using Sophos with Intercept X.

 

It’s come a long way from SEC. Really like the cloud management interface.

BitDefender in Smoothwall, Defender in W10, Sophos AV in Macs.

Been using Eset at my schools and can recommend it.

System Center Endpoint Protection here, does the job perfectly

Defender with 1709 features turned on. Really you need device guard or Applocker these days.

We use Trend Cloud as it integrates into Office 365 or G Suite so protects us from email attachments and links in emails etc. My opinion is you need something more than a solution that just sits on the LAN these days.

Not AV but - using AppLocker to help restrict locations & whitelisted apps

Central Sophos with Intercept X. Delighted with the support and overall experience so far.

+1 for Sophos Central and Intercept X. Long time user of SEC but Central is so much easier to manage.

Sccm with defender + credential guard + whitelisting applications.

 

In the new year we’re looking at defender ATP licensing too.

 

Apparently you can also turn on/configure ATP with defender/sccm but you don’t get access to the reporting without the license.

Sccm + defender, does the job and peanuts via ovs-es
