[windows software] New job not been left Volume Licensing details

Ok so in my new job i have not been left any details of the logins used to access the Volume licensing management page. I spoke to microsoft and after a 30 minute conversation they apologised and said speak with your re-seller. Only issue is i have not been left who our re-seller was either.

 

Any ideas of where to go next.

Office staff/bursar etc. Ask if they can track it down via the finance system.

Yes that was my next guess. However Auditors in this week so no go. Also depends on what they called the invoice etc

can you not access the mail account of the person you took over? any information in that email account is school property

Do you have access to your predecessor's email? Might be worth a search.

Already tried that. No emails relating to it.

Have you tried the forgotten password link on the login screen for volume licensing?

with that email address can you not reset the password? surely it would be that address registered with VLCS

No we tried that as well but it came up as not recognised.

It might be worth contacting some of the bigger MVLS suppliers to see if your contract is with them? The ones that come to mind are:

Phoenix

Pugh

RM

erm what about looking in O365 mailboxes or equivalent see if you have an email for licenses

If you have Office365 and you have admin access, then one of the options in the portal will show you who your named reseller is

Ring up one of your last preferred sellers, ask them to find out for you. I know my one would and also speak to MS on my behalf to get me logged in
