If anything is affected by your work on the fire alarm you can be held personally responsible. You can set different things, I have worked in a number of secure locations that didn't have them release in a fire as certain individuals would escape.

ColinP Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 we are running Paxton server on windows10 ltsb on hyper v with 1gb ram, you dont need anything powerfull to run it. we installed our doors ourself, once you have done the 1st one the rest are easy!
biz Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Net2 seems to have stopped reading cards on our Win 7 PC since the latest Windows Updates, meaning we can't make changes. It's also on a Win 10 box which has been fine. Just curious to see if anyone else has seen this?

He advised to disable Windows Update. Not ideal but as the PC is only used as a CCTV monitoring station/door access card programming station, it never needs to get out to the internet anyway. Also on Win7.

Did you sling a local install on a PC, import/create the users and then export the CSV to the server? Poking around with RDP options, the reader doesn't present to the remote server using the "smartcard" or "other pluggable devices" options, which is annoying if not entirely unexpected.
howartp Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 You can install the Net2 client software on as many PCs as you want; it's one of the options when you run setup.exe Therefore the Desktop reader just plugs into your client copy of the software on your own PC. Peter 1

The other way round in that it goes from Active Directory to Net2, PaperCut, NRS etc. Used this: Net2 Solutions - Paxton Net2 Active Directory Synchronisation server
geezersoft Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 We use LiveRegister which updates AD, ACT, Infineer directly, Then PaperCut and Traka update from AD.
