  1. What firewalls have you got, what speed wans and what speed internet connetions?
  2. Poorly worded for sure. You are taking it personally and I doubt it was intended that way. You should have a clear CCTV policy that is policed by your data protection officer. If you are not given permission to monitor CCTV in either the policy, your job description or directly from your data protection officer you should not be looking at it full stop.
  3. And me please
  4. When the system is down, just work the problem. It will be up when it is up.
  5. Start at the Internet router and work your way into the network.
  6. What about using store virtual on the hosts?

  9. Secondhand tough book?
  10. A SAN consists of cabling / network / storage subsystems. A single subsystem is a single point of failure.
  11. A well designed SAN is not a single point of failure.
  12. If you have a server located somewhere else on the same site, this is for business continuity, not disaster recovery
  13. So many possible causes. Disk io / file io / network io / server resources / file system settings / anti-virus. You will either have to analyse performance metrics or try a process of elimination.

  15. Second what sted says
  16. That means if you use something like papercut, it will no longer control the print queue. Also I do not think you can set a default printer when direct mapping a printer. Your call of course.
  17. If I remember correctly, at the computer level you cannot map a \\server\printer you have to map to physical ip of the printer?
  18. Insight have been good
  19. HD cams are about 5 mbps each so even on a 100mbps link you would need 20 to be in trouble, so that is about 200 to fully utilise a 1 gbps link. We have over 170 cameras but split across different links and have no problems.
  20. We are about to upgrade our network to Windows 10. So I am asking the community for some answers to questions as to what you have found works and things to avoid. 1) I want to use SCCM to build and rebuild PCS. Do you create a new SCCM image each time Microsoft bring out the annual / major version changes and rebuild PCs or do you leave it to windows update to push out - any gotchas / lessons learned? 2) Windows updates: SCCM integrated or stand alone WSUS server? 3) Windows Store - what do you do? Let users access the public store? Use a private education / business store? Turn Store Off - does it kill calculator? How do you manage pushing an app out to users? 4) Are you integrating it with SSO to Office 365 and what approach did you take to SSO. I would like to thank you all in advance for any comments and suggestions.
  21. Can you roll back the sas firmware to the present upgrade version?
  22. We use LiveRegister which updates AD, ACT, Infineer directly, Then PaperCut and Traka update from AD.
  23. But do you mean DR or BC. DR means site loss, BC would be something like a host loss. If DR then you would need to effictively spin up a new site including hardware from a total loss.
  24. If your RTO is a working day, sounds like you have your solution right there.
