New puppy - Some cute for Monday

My family have been wanting another dog for a little while now, and yesterday, we finally found one!

 

 

He's a 5 week year old "Springador" (Springer spaniel/Labrador cross) and not quite ready to come home to us just yet! We saw the whole litter, but this little one stuck with us when the rest went to have a nap, so we figured he'd chosen us.

So far, the most popular name is Finn, although not everyone is convinced. Any suggestions would be awesome!

My friend has a Sprockador (springer/cocker/lab) who is gorgeous - but completely bonkers - so be warned

(btw - it's a crossbreed, or a mongrel - no shame in that!!)

I adopt the Terry Pratchett method of naming pets (from The Unadultarated Cat), in that you should never call them anything that you won't be embarressed at shouting outside your front door at midnight!

I'm very surprised to see this thread re-emerge after 6 years! Well, as a little update, here's Dexter, 6 years and 1 month old now:

 

 

He's half Labrador, and my brother and I (and to some extent, my parents) loved the cartoon "Dexter's Laboratory" when we were kids, so that's where we got Dexter from. He's a very handsome boy, incredibly loving and loves a snuggle. He has a mischevious side though, and likes to steal remote controls, socks etc. This year, however, he's had a couple of seizures. It's probably epilepsy, but we're not sure what the trigger is. Thankfully, it hasn't changed his personality!
