As a very early poster said, I’m surprised you ripped out the HP kit with its lifetime warranty. However, to all prospective buyers of the secondhand kit, HP’s limited lifetime warranty is only valid to the original purchaser as far as I know. Read the small print carefully.

 

1. Limited lifetime (for products purchased after December 1, 2014 the warranty extends only for as long as the original bona fide end user continues to own or use the product)

2. Limited lifetime (for products purchased after December 1, 2015 the warranty extends only for as long as the original bona fide end user continues to own or use the product, limited to five (5) years from the end of sale date.)

3. Limited lifetime (for products purchased after November 1, 2016 the warranty extends only for as long as the original bona fide end user continues to own or use the product, limited to five (5) years from the end of sale date.)
