  2. Hey Thanks for the feedback. A survey isn't my only answer. I just want to give everyone a voice including pupils. I am already meeting with all HoDs 1:1 and introduced in staff briefing. Have already made a number of positive changes/initiatives. So not too worried about how I will approach this. The perception has already taken a positive turn in just 9 days purely because I am communicating with people. BONUS! Main thing is to give everyone the perception that they are giving valuable input into a "broken system". A number of proposals are already being written to address a number of the bigger ticket items. Thanks Edd
  3. Dear all I was just wondering if I can use peoples heads and past experience. I have just started at a new school, sadly the schools IT reputation and image is a little damaged. I am keen to send out a survey (on MS Forms) to gather feedback to help me review the bigger picture. I was just wondering if people had any examples of this surveys from their own schools/work place so I can look at the types of questions and response given to help enhance my own survey. thanks Edd
  4. Thank you for the replies. I have actually just managed to fix the issue. We are using Cisco Meraki (Full Stack) so I dont know if this fix applied to everyone. In our DHCP settings for this particular VLAN, I removed the DHCP option in my original post, and directed the PXE boot to the wdsmgfw.efi file instead of the standard wdsnbp.com file in the smsboot directory. This seems to have sorted the issue and now PXE booting on the Docks perfectly. (still have an issue with PXE on the USB adapter, but thats pointing to bad drivers). The PXE boot is a little slow initally, but once its in WinPE its normal speed. Shall keep you posted if there are any further issues. Thanks Edd
  5. Hey FishCustard We have already done that and have been using them, now in a position when we want to ready the infrastructure/environment for future dev. thanks though. Edd
  6. Dearest technology people! We have recently purchased a number of Surface Pro 6 devices for a pilot in the school. We are loving them, however having a bit of a nightmare when it comes to re-imaging them using PXE. We deploy OS by SCCM 18.10. Standard desktops image perfectly, however Surface Devices are proving a pain. We have the official Microsoft docks and USB network adaptor. In DHCP we have added the following IP Helpers (which prove to work a couple of times): When booting the surface we are holing the volume down, it jumps into PXE over IPv4, goes through the motions, even stating NBP file downloaded successfully. Then instead of prompting for ENTER, it jumps to PXE over IPv6. Any help would be highly appreciated. We have gone top to bottom in the bios disabling and enabling all options. Many Thanks Edd
