DJ-1701 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 And what exactly is a "colette" ? Never heard of it. They are 'an esteemed' Parisian retailer. Basically it's just an all-black edition phone though.
Garacesh Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 And what exactly is a "colette" ? Never heard of it. Basically this. Got the email about the Colette edition and I'm sat there thinking "Uh.. Who?"
GrumbleDook Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Picked up my one last week. Taking time to get used to Android, but a fairly good phone. Good advice from nearly all reviews about getting a case asap as it is so slippy (roped and caught twice within the first hour). Finding the screen a bit glarey, and the screen protector I tried hasn't helped, but could find any matt screen protectors for it. Have had it fully loaded with apps and it got bogged down a bit, but still pretty responsive. Battery is good ... getting 3 days on idle and a full day on active use.
Arthur Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Any idea how long this takes to be released fully at all? OxygenOS 4.1 (Android 7.1.1) is rolling out to the OnePlus 3 and 3T OnePlus is on a roll with these updates for its 2016 flagships. Just earlier this month, the OnePlus 3 and 3T received Android 7.1.1 via the Open Beta program, but now the new OS version is rolling out to the stable channel users via an OTA. That was quick. Here's the changelog for OxygenOS 4.1, which is the same for both phones: Upgraded Android 7.1.1 Updated Google security patch to 1st March 2017 Added expanded screenshots Improved picture taking of moving objects with blur reduction Improved video stability when recording Improved WiFi connectivity Improved Bluetooth connectivity General bug fixes 2
FN-GM Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 OxygenOS 4.1 (Android 7.1.1) is rolling out to the OnePlus 3 and 3T I couldn't get it on my connection. I used my VPN to connect to Canada and got the update.
DJ-1701 Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) I couldn't get it on my connection. I used my VPN to connect to Canada and got the update. Hax! Hmm, doesn't appear to be showing on the website for manual download either. I'll wait. Edited March 16, 2017 by DJ-1701

Arthur Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Is through through a phone update? or an app up date? I can't see it (one plus 3t..) It's through a Google Play Services update.
Tesla Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 It's through a Google Play Services update. Thanks, nothing showing on my phone about an update for that.....
Arthur Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Thanks, nothing showing on my phone about an update for that..... This article might help... www.theandroidsoul.com/install-google-assistant-oneplus-3-3t-2-x-one/
Tesla Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 This article might help... www.theandroidsoul.com/install-google-assistant-oneplus-3-3t-2-x-one/ This has messed up my google play services, i now get a warning "Google Play Services cannot run until you update Google Play Services"... and the google app package says it's corrupted... but assistant is on there...weird.
Arthur Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 This has messed up my google play services That article must have linked to the wrong APK for the 3T. To get back to where you were before try this... Settings > Apps > Google Play Services > go to the three dots menu > Uninstall updates > then update Google Play Service via the Play Store. 1
Tesla Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 That article must have linked to the wrong APK for the 3T. To get back to where you were before try this... Settings > Apps > Google Play Services > go to the three dots menu > Uninstall updates > then update Google Play Service via the Play Store. Just about did all that (though had a message to do with it being a device admin so couldn't delete the app), I then had to remove a service, then i could uninstall, i then had to reboot to update it. I've got there in the end! Thanks
ricki Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I just hold down home button and it's already installed with is update Richard

Arthur Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 OnePlus 5 coming this summer... https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/5/5/15539300/oneplus-5-announcement-launch-timing-summer The phone is called the OnePlus 5 and not the OnePlus 4 because the number four is considered unlucky in China, where OnePlus is based. Though it will be the fifth phone produced by OnePlus
ellsandell Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 I think I might consider the OP5 as a replacment to my OnePlus One. (Assuming its not massivley expensive)
novastorm Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 I think I might consider the OP5 as a replacment to my OnePlus One. (Assuming its not massivley expensive) OnePlus 5 price LEAKS online ahead of release date - and it's NOT good | Tech | Life & Style | Express.co.uk
Garacesh Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 OnePlus 5 price LEAKS online ahead of release date - and it's NOT good | Tech | Life & Style | Express.co.uk Well, £500 is still about £200 cheaper than other android smartphones of similar spec, and about £100 cheaper than an iPhone, so it's still better, just not as good as it has been with other models.
synaesthesia Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Best ignore what any of our moronic tabloid hate-spreaders say, they clearly don't have a clue about value, whether monetary or humanitary.
