ICT_GUY Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) I hope it wasn't the unintelligent keyboard interface device! That took me too long to get, but I laughed all the harder for it. More shooters here that I expected. I also have an explosives licence, that fact may be put on my CV's > Edited January 30, 2008 by ICT_GUY
GrumbleDook Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 hmm ... hobbies ... Isn't that something you do when you have a life? erm ... EduGeek Too many other online forums / mailing lists / newsgroups Online gaming (WoW mainly) Wii Eating Pizza / chocolate (not so much a hobby but a way of life) erm ... I *used* to Fence (sabre preferred but happy with foil), various Martial Arts (Judo and Ju Jutsu mainly but a few more fun things too), cycle, swim, run, etc but that disappeared due a dodgy knee. The only other thing is reading. I get through 2-3 books a week on average. erm ... oh ... I nearly forget ... Spending time with my better half (my wife that is ... not the computer!!!)

webman Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Am I getting old or is that a bit young to be an EduGeek? I'd say you're getting old
Jackd Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Am I getting old or is that a bit young to be an EduGeek? torledo Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 its what i do, part of training twice a week. and i also follow the sport on tv when i have time are you in to mma? yes, in my spare time, i'm a big supporter. Been following it on the internet for several years, but my interest has waned a little bit since the demise of PrideFC in Japan. Still keep an eye on the ufc events, and smaller shows. I regret not having attended a live event here in the UK, if only for the atmosphere, as i think most events in this country are cage and not ring-based therefore not a great view of the live action unless you're in the nosebleed seats of the arena. I would like to take up bjj, and eventually train mma. I think it's a little bit too late for me to commit to it as a competitor, but i'd imagine training to be a lot of fun - although admittedly i'd be scared witless of getting choked out. in addition to bjj........ boxing and wrestling are the other things i'd love to do, so with mma training i'd get to kill three birds with one stone!! Although it's not a subject on everyones lips and i'm less than excited about the event, i'm picking mir by armbar R1 over the weekend. Lesnar's just too wet behind the ears to pull off the win. As for Nog-sylvia, i'm past caring, but i'll go with nog via a very boring UD.
witch Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Hmmmmm.... French Horn, Tenor Horn, Flute, many Guitars... An edugeek band/orchestra? Anyone else?
tomscaper Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Sounds like most people have alot of activities, where as i don't do that much, outside of school consists of playing on the pc, watching tv and going to the cinema. Also seeing the girlfriend but i would class an activities as somthing you choose to do where as with her i have no choice in the matter, lol.
Opensource Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Another ringer. Also messing about on the river and a bit of family history. ...fixing the car....again.
Jake Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Hmmmmm.... French Horn, Tenor Horn, Flute, many Guitars... An edugeek band/orchestra? Anyone else? You realise of course, its taking a quite spectacular amount of willpower for me not to make a comment about techbabes , blowing and horn
MK-2 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 You realise of course, its taking a quite spectacular amount of willpower for me not to make a comment about techbabes , blowing and horn And you're fighting the urge why?
GrumbleDook Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Why do I now have visions of DB dressed as Terry Wogan, stood in front of you lot, bellowing out a fine rendition of The Floral Dance? I'll get my coat. It's the one with the Janet and John CD in the pocket.
crc-ict Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 My hobbies... very techy I'm afraid! Computers, electronics and anything technical are my favourite pastimes! I'm also very much into Photography, which is something I'd like to take beyond a hobby at some point. I also enjoy listening to music, watching films and eating things that are bad for me!
witch Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Firstly - Jake is fighting the urge because he knows what I will do if he doesn't. Well done! (pats him on the....head). But I could test your resolve by remarking that my horn is about 18 feet long!! Secondly - Grumbly dear, (that'll irritate you) FYI the floral dance is played by a brass band and French Horns DON'T play in brass bands
Joedetic Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 (edited) Jake's probably fighting his urge to comment because of WITCH being stood infront of his cage with a firehose full of cold water pointed at him ready for it (AND SHE BEAT ME TO A COMMENT ) An EduGeek band would be a logistical nightmare. But still, quite interesting. Edited January 31, 2008 by Joedetic Beaten to it
russdev Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 ... An EduGeek band would be a logistical nightmare. But still, quite interesting. nar could do it with skype and webcams Russ
