Mainly PC here, but I have a tendency to get games I already own on PC later on Xbox One for some reason so I may end up switching

Have any of you tried using the VPN method to buy the digital games? It is long winded, but worth it!

 

I did it for the Gold Edition of Division, ended up costing me £32, and we have two xbox one's so we got the game for each box for that price.

I have the game through uplay... can i change it to launch via steam?

I'm not sure. Maybe if you can get your product key you can activate it on Steam?

(I've purchased things on Steam and then redeemed the same product key to my Origin account, so maybe it will work the other way? Worth a try?)

Or just add a non steam game to Steam. You can then launch it from steam and friends can see your in a game.

Unlikely, since it launches via uPlay. Similar issues with trying to get Hearthstone launched via Steam.

 

Although it's possible. Steam may start The Division, which starts uPlay as part of its launch sequence, in which case it may be as simple as adding a non-Steam game, or Steam may launch uPlay and pass parameters to then launch The Division after you've logged in, in which case not so simple..

At lot of my mates have Division and although they normally launch it via steam though they got it via uPlay.

 

That way I know when they are playing Division or Siege while I'm trucking around on ETS/ATS or playing Skylines

Its Lincoln tunnel for the challenge today if you want to give that a go later, I run this one quite regularly and as challenge missions go it is not too bad once you get past the mobs at the start.

So, it's been out a couple of weeks. I must say, this is probably the game I've enjoyed the most on XB1. Don't get me wrong, it has it's imperfections but any game where you accidentally stay up til 3 am playing it has to qualify as a favourite. I only wish I wasn't such a Billy No Mates on Live as the DZ continues to be a bit much playing solo and tagging along with random people only retains its charm for so long. Certainly makes fighting elites tricky. A rolling retreat and getting them suppressed with turret and LMG fire buys me a bit of time. Also, flying solo makes it tense when creeping past a patrolling gang on the way to the extraction points. V. happy and hope the inevitable expansion packs keep it going strong!

DZ is weird tbh. Definitely challenging to do any of it solo yeah, but even as a group it can be hard. I'm pretty well spec'd up with 140k DPS and 65k health now so I can generally roll through most things but as soon as I go into the DZ me and my friends get wrecked by people with 250k dps who are rogue lol.
