localzuk Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Got a bunch more AE auto-crafting stuff set up last night. Can now auto-craft all the AE seeds and crystals, and all the processors. Next up is smelting on demand for ore dusts. I don't like to smelt them automatically, as I might need the dusts for alloys, so I think I'm going to surround an Electric Furnace with interfaces for smelt on demand instead. How're everyone else's builds going?
Garacesh Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 How're everyone else's builds going? I made a wand?
localzuk Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 I've never done any of the magical mods! After I'm happy with my tech build, I may look at some of them and make my own wand!
Geoff Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Bit more work on my AE2 system last night. I used my new painter to hide all my EnderIO Conduits. I built a soul forge and turned some of the broken spawners I had into more useful ones. I briefly considered making a powered ghast spawner but stopped after deciding it would be really annoying when they escaped.
LiamHaith Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Built a small wooden box Swam in lava Built a larger wooden box Almost died again Ended up finally finding Iron/Diamonds (after losing a stack of Iron and Yellorite) Now, I have a medium sized wooden box, my own Smeltery, and a diamond pickaxe + 4 blocks of iron...
MrEprise Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Tried improving my Big Reactor, going for something bit similar to @localzuk. It's now producing a lot more power now (yay) but obviously using a bit more yellorite in order to do so. Then I managed to lose the power tap in the process. I made another but where did it go?
LiamHaith Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Oh, and I still have no food supplies. Ended up destroying many a mushroom local to my shack. But I figured it'll soon be my building anyway so they'd have to go sooner or later

I lose things and then find them in some random input slot of some random machine!
LiamHaith Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Also, if anyone is in dire need of a certain ore, let me know. There's a chance I might have a few laying around that I could trade you for some simpler items. Right now I need Copper/Gold and it turns out some little so and so has branch mined with a hammer under my house!

That might be me, as you're quite close to my base and I branch mined considerably... So, you built a house on my branch mine!
Garacesh Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Hmm... That might be me, as you're quite close to my base and I branch mined considerably... So, you built a house on my branch mine! No, no, let's get this explained properly. You created a server. The server created a spawnpoint. Players on a co-operative server usually build near the spawn point. You branch mined near the spawn point. @LiamHaith built his base. So you should have anticipated for this and branch mined elsewhere
LiamHaith Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Hmm... That might be me, as you're quite close to my base and I branch mined considerably... So, you built a house on my branch mine! I'm not THAT close! I was just happily digging away and plop... landed in a huge tunnel. The best part is, you left a truckload of yellorite behind.
localzuk Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Oh! That won't be me then! I leave my mines totally empty! No point in leaving stuff behind!!
LiamHaith Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Whoever did it, I have to credit their torch placement. Perfectly spaced. I was moderately impressed.... then stole some. Plus someone had fully lit an underground ravine, which had many ores which I pilfered.

Right now I need Copper/Gold and it turns out some little so and so has branch mined with a hammer under my house! That might have already been there, especially if you've built close to spawn. LiamH Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Depends where you are I guess, I branch mined a fair bit and if I'm looking for something specific i will leave a lot behind. Also it could be the tunnel to peoples bases that was made, lots of ore still in those.
LiamHaith Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 If it's the tunnel that links peoples bases, then I basically attached myself to the network
Fez Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I believe that could be my tunnels im terrible for torches spaced right and I left loads of ores as I couldn't carry any more. P.S. I cant even get on the server Ender IO throws an error for me.
Garacesh Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Make sure you're not using Recommended version and are using 2.1.1(I think? @localzuk correct me if I'm wrong?)
Fez Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 ahh, Im installing on my gaming laptop so I can play when im not at home and it auto selected 2.1.2 that explains it.
localzuk Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Jeez, the Infinity people release new versions far too quickly!!
Geoff Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 It's called a rolling release. You should try running Arch Linux on a machine, you wont make it through a 24hr period without something needing an update.
ADMaster Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I nearly have a reactor completed. I used the bliz spawner and then found I don't have the niter I need to make cryotheum. I'll probably fill it with red stone tonight. I have a fair few tunnels from early game. I also left stuff behind if I was making a tunnel to somewhere and not just mining. I am far enough away now and there are no tunnels, if you can't fly it is very unlikely you will stumble upon my base.
