Geoff Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 The thread clearly needs to be in the Hardware section.
ConTheITGuy Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?" We did... here! ...original post 6 months from now and start it all over again. Almost to the day (plus a year!)... weird Andy

K.C.Leblanc Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 hey, this forum isn't about light bulbs! That's lightbulbs.
mac_shinobi Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 none because when a light bulb goes we don't all drive to your house or school just to change a light bulb ( Would be a lot of fuel consumption just to change a light bulb )
Gatt Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 And 3 to suggest we should all help save the planet by using candles instead. That may be true in my school as Ive had a budget forecast of about £30k!! looks like i'll be bulk buying candles and some hamsters!!
Jake Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 1 to comment on how sexy the lightbulb is looking today and wonder if the lightbulb is looking for someone to light its filament this evening
richard.thomas Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 ... I've changed light bulbs (note the space)... I especially enjoy the funky shapes on those energy saving ones

richard.thomas Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Mattx, how do I set that up so it runs every time a user logs in?
mattx Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Mattx, how do I set that up so it runs every time a user logs in? Stick it in the: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run part of the registery !!
witch Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Now look here, it was my post in the first place, one year ago and I am sick and tired of my intelligent and clever posts being hijacked by others and posted as if they were their own work:):)
elsiegee40 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 3 Health & Safety experts that discuss the dangers of changing energy efficient lightbulbs and provide the links to recent news stories on the topic. 7 recommendations to go to the union to check your contract before doing hazourdous tasks like this
enjay Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 1 to post a link to a good supplier of light bulbs that turns out to be their own company 3 to notice that their prices are astronomical, and flame them for it
maniac Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 That reminds me, must get some lightbulbs on the way home. I'm not sure what brand to go for thou, can anyone help? mike.
Andrew_C Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Technically, it should be "lamp", but that is by-the-by... Around here it goes more like this:- How many teachers does it take to change a lamp? CHANGE??!!
john Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 1 to comment on how sexy the lightbulb is looking today and wonder if the lightbulb is looking for someone to light its filament this evening Welcome back Jake A very typical Jake"e" post
witch Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Yes, I did notice the post by Jake and wondered if it was the same one. But then again, looking at the content - of course it is! I never thought I'd say this.... "welcome back, glad you escaped"
Gatt Posted January 12, 2008 Author Posted January 12, 2008 I actually think the changing of a light bulb can be quite a sensitive topic to those who are unable to change lightbulbs, thus it should be moved to a 'disability issues' forum 5 to post PM's that the message about the light-bulb was inappropriate and should be deleted. 4 people to add original poster to their ignore list
Jake Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 I figured I should reenter the Edugeek Server room to let all the Techbabes know that the mistletoe I hung on my cage need not be just for christmas
Andie Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Welcome back, Jake! Took you a long time to dig that tunnel! The lighter side of forum posting has been restored and there is peace, goodwill and merriment in techyland once more.
SpuffMonkey Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 What about the 6 to post worrying that light bulb changing will be outsourced after BSF?
