This isn't new to me, not at my current place or my last but I've heard worse. What nags me is there are a few people here who are quick to pretend this "Barrier" doesn't exist. It's as if they live in the clouds.

My team and I have a great relationship with staff at our School. We are seen as the social department and often organise nights out and events like Top Golf etc. We get lots of positive comments also. Don't get me wrong there are the ones who moan no matter what and there is no changing them.

 

I can remember once we had an issue with the servers being unresponsive after a upgrade, the head came and said I was having a bad start to the day, went and made me a coffee and stood at my desk redirecting all the questions and angry faces elsewhere. We have a great environment of helping each other in our school and that was lovely on a crappy day.

We take turns. We paly a different playlist every day, no matter if you like it or not. Each person has one veto a week though so if things get real sketchy we can use it. Works well in most cases. I have had my eyes opened to a lot of music I wouldn't have listened to otherwise.
