How have you guys setup email signatures for your users Outlook 2013 and OWA

I use GFI Mailessentials which does ours on the server side.

Our users do their own (with the exception of one teacher who calls in every time he needs it set up or amended)

Are you using a local Exchange server or O365?

Have local exhange, I want it to pull off all the details from the AD account of the user in Organization, and in General, Telephone number, EMail, Webpage

OK they way I did it in Exchange 2010 was to add a disclaimer to all email (via a hub transport rule) and then add the text and tags for the fields. It makes a Dynamic Signiture.

 

Something like:

%%Firstname%% %%Lastname%%

 

%%department%%

 

Telephone: %%Phone%%

 

 

You can obviously mix that with body text too.

VBScript at logon that pulls name and title from AD and creates the signature locally.

Exchange Transport rules just set to pull AD variable and off it goes.

We set the legal stuff (short disclaimer, registered office, company number) via Exchange transport rules.

 

People make their own sigs.

 

There's some debate every so often as to whether we should enforce a standard format, currently the rules are basically "Wheaton's Law" and no images in the sig.

Ill be looking at changing ours so that anything external goes out via our on site exchange with address and phone number along with existing disclaimer. Staff will have something like:

 

Regards,

 

{name of teacher}

{Job title}

 

It seems pointless sending round internal mail with address and phone number details on.

We are looking into a signature solution too. Currently, we use Exchange 2013 and have used the transport rules. I have put some HTML in there along with some images, but it seems that some ISPs don't like that, and block our emails. Having looked at the Symprex website, there doesn't appear to be a UK reseller. Is it an expensive solution?
