Well when I went to Tesco last night they had hardly anything!! So I settled for FF XV

i hope you have more fun with that game than i did. I hated it the annoying chat from party members the awful combat that just seemed to devolve into button mashing. I gave up on that game after about 90 mins and i just dont want to go back (it felt like a slog rather than fun granted going in straight from botw probably diddnt help and i find the fact you cant climb everything in horizion mildly annoying but after the first time i played it i had to force myself to load it again and i still diddnt like it) just glad i diddnt spring fro the version with dlc. if this is the direction ff is taking i worry for the 7 remake

I'll be honest, I haven't enjoyed the modern FF games, but am willing to give it a try. I have them all... in PSX, PS2 format. Kinda stopped after X-2 though.... terrible!

i enjoyed ff13 and ff13-2 ff13-3 same as with 15 i just diddnt like the combat luckily that one cost me about £6 so i dont even slightly care lol

I paid £24 for it, which I think was OK. We'll see if I get chance to play it this weekend. Got bathroom related antics and a family barbeque to contend with, so might have to perhaps skip sleeping to play it! Hahahah!

The exact same experience as me!

ARMS for the Nintendo Switch arrives tomorrow, looking forward to playing this. I tried the world test demo's really enjoyed the general feel of the game.

With this and Splatoon2 it should keep me occupied until Mario comes out in Oct!

well 17 or so hours into horizon zero dawn now and i can say its basically tomb raider with robot enemies. The gameplay is near identical its just in what at least seems a bigger world (though when you get on screen messages sating keep going this way and we will just reload your last save file i wonder) its a good game but i dont get why its praised so much. The main difference to me between this and tomb raider is the lack of guns and the deaths are less gruesome but more frequent. Also i hate flying things and explaining what weapons do could be better if id of known how good an explosive tripcaster was id of been using it as soon as i could get one ditto to some extent to a bow that can deal something other than fire damage (ice leccy and corruption) and its still incredibly annoying to hit invisible walls or not be able to get over a 2/3 your height rock

just to really slow my progress down ive still not finished fe echoes and ordered ever oasis for my 3ds and the hard mode for botw is out on the 30th so im going to start that again and try it differently this time im not just going to as soon as i can get all the towers lit up

found another great weapon type in horizon this one i apparently had the purple (very rare) version of in a lootbox (i dont remember it ever mentioning these and i forgot i had them till i run out of stuff to make fire arrows) and wow this weapon is great for bigger robots it blows off removable parts (so weapons canisters etc) making them much less likely to do you damage but boy does taking down a thunderjaw take time and i did cheese it a bit by using the landscape to my advantage and basically hiding down a cliff where it couldn't get to me and just launching volley after volley of various arrows etc at it. in really wish you could have more than 4 weapons on the weapon wheel as to keep my long range and short range bows ive had to remove my tripcaster and multiarrow thing. and i just keep getting the song "run to the hills" stuck in my head while playing it when i see a field full of robots lol

oh and f all flying robots

So took me 4 attempts to beat the pyramid boss on personna 5 last night. Kept getting my main person and another despaired and i had no items to remove it plus the other person getting despaired was my remover. O well all done now.

you can really screw yourself over in that game if your multiple characters dont have status removal magic and ideally nullify boosts i wasnt really paying attention to that on my 2nd runthrough and had found/made a persona for my character that nullified physical damage but it had long ago maxed out so my character was learning no new moves and towards the end of the game having few healing/status curing abilities caused me issues

I'm struggling to find the time to play it at the moment, only getting an hour or so online, and that just isn't long enough of a sitting for that game.

Anyone know any good local 4 player games on ps4? Or even ps3? Want to get into some new games to play when friends come over.

FINALLY gotten Diablo 3 to a point where the Platinum is in sight...

I only have to get a few levels for my Demon Hunter, Witch Doctor and Sorcerer, then finish the Barbarian hardcore run. Then, maybe I'll be able to turn my attention to something like Mafia 3, The Last Guardian et. al.

For friends and beers on a console, I always find (strangely enough) that a golf game is always fun. I think the newest PGA tour game is £3.50 on PSN. Failing that, Diablo 3, Borderlands, Plant Vs Zombies and Rocket League all pop straight into my head.

Hmm, OH is fussy with games which makes it difficult, i'm thinking more party/stupid games. (it's usually me, my OH, my mate and his missus)

It currently tends to revolve around playing COD:Zombie maps , which, whilst i don't mind, I seem to be getting the least enjoyment in playing...

(saying that, i'm also open to Wii/ Wii U Suggestions)

I still need to buy more xbox and xbox 360 controllers before looking at those for 4 player games......

Oh, can also take ps2 recommendations though have tended to found most of the ones i remember havent aged well

Oh, also Gang Beasts is available on PS4 if you want a silly brawler. (Whereas Spelunky is co-op* and Castle Crashers is mostly Co-Op**)

* Until your friend dies, becomes a ghost, and blows you off an edge to some spikes

** Until you rescue a princess, to which you then all fight each other to decide who gets a smooch.

Have been keeping an eye on gang beats since it was shown on go 8-bit. Annoyingly the date for release keeps getting put back. They're hoping to have it out by end of year looking at the publishers twitter. The devs twitter and they're own updates are awful

It was meant to be out on q1 this year, they posted at about 6PM on the 31st of March saying they wouldn't make the date as it's still under development. (well...duh)

Bummer, should've actually looked at the page. I knew it's been out on Steam for a while (though Early Access), and I knew they were going for a PS4 release, so when the page showed up I just threw the link at you. My bad!

Been playing ME2 and was surprised to see Liara's picture in my cabin as I hadn't had "that" scene with her when playing ME1. (Hadn't had that scene with anyone). Then the little hussy smooched me when I found her on Ilium! What gives?

Did you import your save over? There's certain aspects it takes for granted if not.

Yep, imported my romance-free save over and got various bonuses, so it definitely worked. Maybe I'm as bad at spotting "the signs" in games as I am in life!

How about Overcooked? It's a silly little 1-4 player game where you have to fulfil food orders with increasing challenges and obstacles. It was the first (and only) thing that popped into my mind. I haven't played it, though. Just heard/seen good things!

EDIT: Oh, also Screencheat! A first person silly shooter thing where you can't see anyone so you have to determine where they are by looking at their screens...

Didn't even realise Overcooked was on PlayStation, too. It's absolutely fantastic, but once you get the hang of it, you've got the hang of it. So bringing in a new chef will just cause frustration as you + the others are good, but they aren't.

I'd recommend doing what myself and my housemate did: A dedicated 2 (or more) player stint. Block out 5 hours. Three star everything. Make periodic brews and have a good laugh.

Cooking games / making order games etc don't really appeal to me, (unless i've missed the point)

that screencheat looks a good idea..........
