in case this is too spoilery for anyone im writing in white

 

best strat step 1 buy lots of guardian arrows. step 2 shoot them in they eye this can be a 1 hit kill if done perfect more likely 2 hits

 

useful strat 1 equip a lightning weapon and do a charged attack close to them (dangerous but effective but requires the ability iirc)i actually managed to get one to turn turtle chopped some legs off it and attack its underbelly then it tried to limp around lol

useful strat 2 find some hiding place where you can hit it but it cant hit you and fire whatever arrows you have into its eye (iirc bomb/leccy work best but even normal arrows will kill it eventually

useful strat 3 drop stuff on it rocks crates bombs etc

well yes ive used that one something with up to 3000 hp that depending on your "level" can easily one shot you thats easier said than done (I i did it early game one was in my way)but with enough food/potions/faries etc brute force works finesse is a better option and with just one that works

when you have 4 or more targeting you youre probably not surviving that by any strat other than "legg it" lol

Am I the only one that is confused by this thread now? It made sense before when it was last game you bought/completed but now it's just a mish-mash of conversations, I've got no idea what games people have been talking about for the past page.

 

Wouldn't it make more sense to have threads for separate games?

That might be a good idea, but only a very few games get enough discussion. Would be extra work for the mods to respond to "Latest Cool Game needs splitting off from the game thread" requests.

Stcuk trying to do the first divine beast (elephant) Can get to the second phase but i dont have a bow by the time i get to that part, and it's hard to hit him without an arrow for phase2...

honestly id leave go get a bow or 2 and come back they are the best weapon for most of the boss fights imo

Heard of it, it looked pretty good, had some mates in the US buy it, apparently it's full of hax.

well @^&* guardians respawn in some places at least on the plus side more inventory and they dont hurt much anymore

and now guardians barely hurt at all.

 

went and defeated gannon last night diddnt even use that much food i think i restored health twice. i can see how people have done it quickly once you work out what to do its not actually that hard getting to gannon from the front door is harder but there are other ways in

how did final fantasy 15 get such good ratings?

Now granted im coming into it straight of botw and im not far into it but geez the other 3 characters wont just stfu all the time constant pointless waffle, the controls fel contrived at best combat just feels like random button mashing hold rb and press/hold b occasionally press x to guard and y to warp strike and it just dosent feel fun i can see this one not being completed unless i really need the gamerscore and even then im not sure its worth the effort for that

Speaking of disappointments, was I the only one that didn't like The Order 1886? Was filled with waaay too many cut scenes that it felt like I wasn't actually playing at all, traded it soon after getting it!

For point & click fans - I can recommend it. Now, I've got to decide what's next on the PS4 list.

The Bromance (I can't believe I just used that term) is one of the best things about the game going forward.

 

(Well aside from Iggy's "recipehs").

thats on my list but probably behind ghost recon wildlands to some extent depends if ff15 gets better (or if i can talk myself into seeing if it does) then again i started playing the pre alpha of austoneer and that looks fun just got to work out the controls

I'd argue this thread is now no different to the "cool things" or "annoying things" thread.

 

I asked for the changed in topic because i felt the thread had already drifted from the original title, and thought it could be expanded. Again as already said, specific game threads don't seem to work particularly well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway

 

On the point of FF15, I dont think it's a great game, going between places can take ages (I'm currently without Regalia ATM), and is kind of boring. Maybe Once I get regalia back it'd pick up, but Zelda has come along now...

Indeed. This thread has become a little "fluid". If we're going to have a thread like the cool/annoying things thread, we should stick to the same sort of rules as over there - only a few replies for each post.

 

Else, if people want to discuss a specific game, I'd suggest starting your own thread. I think I'll start paying more attention in here and start moving things to their own threads if needed.
