So I'm going to claim my power bar after work... (ee customers text power to 365 - cost 35p)

I believe it is a massive data collection tactic. However, I'm eligible for an UPGRADE... uh oh.

Gonna have to stop myself from getting an M9. Although if they can do it for £38 a month (cheapest I've found so far with 2GB data) then I might go for it. My internet is due soon too, so might try and get some sort of double deal!

EXCITING. (lolnot)

The Powerbars are useless. Very cheaply made. Fully charged - it'll only put 50% charge in to my iPhone 6.

My Anker will charge my phone fully twice on one charge.

Oh, and if you don't return it after 18 months they'll bill you £5.

Picked mine up on Saturday whilst in town, took forever. Queued out the door as I was leaving! Lots of places have no stock. Maybe worth calling if you can may save you a wasted trip?

For the sake of 35p can't really complain, misses got one yesterday but hasn't tried it yet.

Was told it would fully charge most of the current phones out (emphasis on most I guess).

Got it. No questions or ANYTHING. Awesome. I have a switchshop one already, but I gave that as a gift to the husband. I'm nice like dat.

Sorry, as there's been such high demand, we need a 'power pause' to recharge stock! Please try again from 8am 24th June. You weren't charged for your text.

^^this ^^

If you want/need more power, spend £21 on an anker . Over 6 times the power capacity as the power bar, not much bigger and 18 month warranty with one of the best customer focused companies I have ever done business with.

I've had my older generation version of that for around 2 years, still quickly recharges my Nexus 5 around 3.5 times before it needs recharged.

Texted last week, got charged for the text, never had a code back, it seems that I haven't made a chargeable call on my PAYG phone in the last 3 months ... 1 week out, except the GPRS had rinsed all of the credit on the phone a few weeks ago but that doesn't count apparently :(

I left EE and went to GiffGaff and haven't looked back. When I finish paying for my phone all I'll end up paying per month is the £15 goody bag and my phone is totally network-neutral. I don't know why I didn't do it before. My service coverage is pretty good - no better or worse than any other network and there is a handy (optional) text option that pops up on the screen after you make a call telling you how many minutes and how much credit you have left (you put credit on the account to cover calls made to numbers not included in the minutes, but the inclusive minutes packages cover a LOT - 0800 numbers are actually free and 0345 and 0845 are blocked if you have no credit so you can't get yourself into trouble).

I bought the LG G3 and love it. A lot of people have said the speakers are rubbish - if I want to listen to music out loud I'll put it on the Sonos. It's perfect for me. Good battery performance, lovely clarity on the screen, responsive and quick.

EE recalls Power Bar chargers over fire risks

EE's free Power Bar portable chargers have been incredibly popular with customers, but recently a medical student was left with nasty burns after one exploded while charging. And it can't be coincidence that EE has just issued a recall request for all Power Bars sporting the model number E1-06. EE says it's "identified a very small number of incidents where Power Bars have overheated," isolated to this specific batch number, which Mobile News believes accounts for half a million units -- EE's subsequently told us less than half that number are actually in customers' hands, with the rest accounted for in its stores. The carrier warns these Power Bars "could pose a fire safety risk," advises that customers stop using them immediately, and asks they turn them in at their nearest EE store. Returned units will be replaced once EE has figured out what's going on with the bad batch. The network operator believes Power Bars with different model numbers are perfectly safe, but it's still putting a temporary stop to the swap-in-shop program while it recalls and restocks.

EE now wants all Power Bars returned.

http://ee.co.uk/recall

Updated 16 December 2015

We’re recalling all EE Power Bars. This is just a precaution, but we want to make sure all our customers are safe.

If you have a Power Bar, you should stop using it straight away and hand it in to one of our stores.

We are taking this action because we are aware of a very small number of further incidents where Power Bars have overheated in circumstances that could cause a fire safety risk.

Keeping our customers safe is extremely important to us, and that’s why we’re taking this voluntary and precautionary action.

hahahahah! I was wondering that because I've misplaced the cable. I think it's in a bag from when I went to MK.... I'll do a bit of digging tonight!
